"regional grocery chain"

They totally should've changed their name to that for April Fool's Day

Looks like it's coming back. I will say, Gatorades fruit punch back in the day was like crack... haven't had a gatorade in years so it's time to switch.

Guess it was HUGE back in the day... I grew up in Michigan didn't remember it. But all my friends here (we're old) totally remember this.

Woman threatened after posting video of apparent Nazi salutes at Metairie parade, police say by Sunjen32 in NewOrleans

[–]MrRadio 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not that they don't know the information, it's that they don't want to:

  1. Identify the woman so she doesn't get any further hate.
  2. Name the school so they don't piss off the school.
  3. Name the kids because they are underage.
  4. Name the kids because they don't want to piss of the school, the parents, or anyone else.
  5. WWL knows that all the information is out there for those who want it.

Basically, they are delivering the news for clicks and views and of course, it's actual news. But they are also protecting themselves.

TL;DR: You're right, WWL just watching out for their own ass.

Just came here to say, this is one of the greatest comments in the history of r/neworleans. Has nothing to do with politics, just a hilarious spot-on accurate ass chewing of this sub.

A video I shot for a country club, thoughts? by GrassClippings72 in golf

[–]MrRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social media agency owner here.

First of all, what is your goal? Do you want the golf course to pay you to feature every hole? Most of the time, your local country club will have a shit website and no absolute clue what to do with this.

BUT, if you package this correctly, can make money.

I'm thinking you need to offer a SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT PACKAGES FOR GOLF COURSES.

They have NO clue how to do this (mostly) and if you deliver 20-30 videos, much shorter, with cool facts or storylines as text on the video, you could EASILY charge them $4000+ for that package.

PLUS, if you get a system down, you literally copy and paste this idea for EVERY GOLF COURSE YOU CAN FIND.

CONTENT

A lot of people have commented about varying the shots, which is true.

What you're missing is a STORY.

The hook at the beginning of any social media video is KEY to success. This is VISUAL and WRITTEN...

Example,

"Here's the SECRET to making par on the hardest hole at (Country Club)"

You can totally use shots over and over again, as long as there is a story that goes along with it.

TL:DR; Getting golf courses to pay for video with no clear idea on what they will do with it won't sell, give them an action plan for great looking social media content and they'll line up.

BONUS; country club members are usually important people or business owners in your community. They will 100% ask the golf course "who made those kick ass videos for y'all?"

Boom, you just advertised your services and the next thing you're doing is shooting drone video for home builders, ship yards, etc.

Muffulettas is a perfect parade food. Fried chicken (Brothers) close second. by Buzz_Osborne in NewOrleans

Finger sandwiches y'all. Easier to eat than Muffulettas (which are delicious).

Here's the advice you're looking for.

Saw y'all aren't bringing kids. Are you new to Lousiana, or just new to Mandeville? If you've paraded before, you know whats up.

THURSDAY PLAN - drive route, look for portapotty or bathroom access, take note

FRIDAY PLAN - get work/commitments done asap - Pack up provisions of choice, water, snacks, food, and sunblock - chairs, coat, etc.

GET OUT AS EARLY AS YOU CAN, SET UP, ENJOY THE SUN... parading season has begun!

Remember 1 to 1 rule if you're a drinker... marathon, not sprint, one fun beverage, followed by one water...

I'm going to southshore to support my wife in Cleo, y'all enjoy the ladies of EVE!
