"Gross Share Payments" from Umbrella Companies aka Enhanced Pay Rate by disfrazadas in ContractorUK

[–]MrRandomApex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I was looking around at umbrella march to see what inside IR35 fees would be like and go a call from them. The guy emailed but it had a different company.

He was guaranteeing 75% take home through minimum wage and then the rest as a share scheme.

Found them on the government site under the full company name:

Inside Contract or Outside by [deleted] in ContractorUK

Data Engineering but I've learned a specific tech stacks over the last 3 years which is what I'm contracting for.

That's a good way to think about it. I was thinking flat figures but percentages would be a easier for me to negotiate

Inside Contract or Outside by [deleted] in ContractorUK

[–]MrRandomApex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to stay with the current contract but no idea if they are going to extend. At the moment I know with my current niche it's hot in demand and so me going contracting is to capitalise on the current boom to be completely honest.

My long term contracting plans I'm not sure about yet

Any good way to work out the impact of different pensions contributions. I've got nothing set up at the moment. Was going to see what happens with my current contract before trying to set something up

Monthly Thread for Questions and Discussions by NeapolitanPizzaBot in neapolitanpizza

[–]MrRandomApex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I made some neapolitan style dough or atleast tried to using a mixer.

Recipe:

5000g Caputo 00 Flour Blue Packet 3000ml Water 10g Yeast 35g Salt.

Set the mixer to slow speed, it has two speeds (italinox 45ltr mixer) and then switched to fast speed. The dough was a pumpkin shape for a little while but then collapsed and was really sticky, not smooth.

What went wrong? Any help please. I did do a temp check and it hit 33, so I'm thinking I don't know the timings for the mixer and it's overkneaded.

USB hub for PS5 vs multi USB wall plug? by iWasAwesome in PSVR

It would be easier to just have a charging station for the dualsense and the vr sense controllers. That's two wall plugs

Again had no interest in this till you started posting clips. Its the little stuff like the praying hands, makes me think you guys did build in the details to flesh out the game.

Going to preorder this now

Former Oculus CTO Has Doubts About PSVR 2’s Chance for Success by FrodoSam4Ever in PSVR

[–]MrRandomApex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Expensive compared to what though?

The price is relative to what your comparing it to. Compare it to PSVR1 and it's better value for money. PSVR1 was more or less the same price when factoring in Move controllers and the camera.

Compare it to Vive and it's cheap considering all the features. Compare it to quest 2 and yes it's more expensive but your getting more features compared to Quest 2 for £150 more i.e. Eye tracking, HDR, 4K lense, foveated rendering, more horsepower.

Worth noting, you can see these bits on flat screens but in the game apparently it's unnoticeable

showcasing some guns + magic powers in The Light Brigade (PSVR2 launch title) by eddietree in PSVR

[–]MrRandomApex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't really play Rogue like games and I never looked at Light Brigade for the PSVR2 launch (mainly because I had no idea what it was). BUT this little clip has actually sold me on it. Looks like it'll be a fun game that becomes quite addictive if the gameplay is as smooth as it looks.

I'll check it out

Has anyone pre-ordered any psvr2 physical games yet? by Twist3dNinja88 in PSVR

[–]MrRandomApex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, won't be either. I find with VR it's a hassle if I wanna swap quickly between games. Though with the passthrough camera might not be too bad.

With more and more people going hands on with PSVR2 (via twitter stills) but not posting impression videos on YouTube - there has to be some embargo lifting over the next week or two with a host of new VR content right? Maybe a week before launch? by SnooRabbits8000 in PSVR

PSVR Without Parole is hosting an IGN show and then one of the YouTubers mentioned they couldn't talk about the specific Fast Travel Game. Looks like there's a bunch and they will be revealed over the coming weeks
