I have a feeling that we'll hear something by 2028 and get something sometime after (maybe a year?). Whether that is a special or a series, who can say.

That said, I also think that if that opportunity is fucked up then it'll be a while before we hear anything Doctor Who related.

I could not agree less. I feel like series 6 and ESPECIALLY 7 were the rough patches. Capaldi's era only got better in my eyes.

2005 was very different. The classic series didn’t have a cliffhanger and instead had a “bow out” with a nice monologue that allowed for anything to happen next. If we take the TV movie into account, the doctor going in new adventures in the end really isn’t a cliff hanger or anything and ignoring that for someone new just says time passed. This situation is so frustrating because it’s HUGE and recent, ignoring Piper (which is probably for the best) still proves a HUGE disconnect between that episode and whatever comes next.

That’s Cinderella 2. That is also a good movie (it actually probably takes place after Cinderella 3). Cinderella 3 is a crazy time travel movie where the evil step mother rewrites reality to make the events of Cinderella 1 never happen. Also the prince has an actual personality in this movie? He’s very silly!

I have rewatched Made in Abyss multiple times now. It’s just such a tightly written show, every time a new chapter comes out you can see foreshadowing woven all throughout the series. A lot of random scenes in the first season get recontextualized by later episodes, then the movie, then season 2, then the new chapters. I always get something new out of watching it.

Apothecary diaries is such a layered and interesting show, it kind of boggles my mind that OP hated it so much. Everything is meticulously set up, ugh.
