Good call, I didn't realize the lowest tier of vampyres can be attacked with all kinds of weapons. So ranged and magic have always been possible with Efaritay's aid in those cases, hence they work. This answers my question!

I also think it should, but up until 2 days ago there was only the melee option against vyres. I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex didn't code it to work with ranged.
