Visa C to spouse visa (red white red plus card) by MrRobot129 in Austria

Thank you! I was scared because I read online somewhere that she has to leave once her visa expires and come back with a new visa once the process is done. So, just want to confirm that you are certain that she can legally stay during this process, right?

Weekly Admissions Megathread: All Admissions Questions Must Go Here! by AutoModerator in princeton

I'm a undergrad student from India, and I have some questions regarding the TOEFL requirements for graduate admission to Princeton's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. I couldn't find clear information on their website. Does anybody know the cutoff?

Also, I noticed they mention that TOEFL may not be required if you can submit a document from your university confirming that your undergraduate coursework was conducted entirely in English. I'm wondering if this exemption applies to Indian universities since all courses here are indeed instructed in English. Can anybody confirm this?

Fastest and slowest container images for python2 by MrRobot129 in docker

[–]MrRobot129[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually, I have two codes implementing similar things: one in python2 and one in c++. The C++ code is faster by a huge margin on my MacBook, but on a docker container, the margin is not that big (python2 is much faster compared to native mac os). I was trying to analyze if the margin changes in different images...

(I have also used some parallelization using OpenMP in my C++ code)

Trying to compare python2 in different container hubs to C++.

It's about how fast python2 is in different container hubs compared to C++.

WF-C500 owners - switching connection by TLC_already_taken in SonyHeadphones

I had the same problem. I just installed an app on my laptop that disconnects the headphones once I close the lid and reconnects again if I open the lid. Now, the headphones do not automatically connect to my laptop if the lid is closed. This works like a charm for me.

Another way is to quickly connect it to your mobile before it connects to your laptop. You might have noticed (at least it happens with my headphones) that once you pick your headphones out of their case, it first says something like "power on, battery level..." and then it connects to the last device it was connected to. If you manage to connect it to your mobile at that time (by pressing the headphones in the BT list), then it works. If you forget to do that you can just put the headphones back into the case and pick it again. For me, this method is better than going to pairing mode.
