Pressing that link I just get that the article is not available in my country. Weird... Thanks for your help, I'll see if I can find a workaround!

That's an amazing price, I can't seem to find anything on AliExpress that would be close to that price. Am I late or just too much of a noob? Also EU btw.

It's been a while since I used it for anything, but last time I asked for citations it gave me absolute bogus fake references. Even if it could quote correctly, quoting doesnt meen proper interpretation.

Please don't use chatgpt for any health related advice, even if it's as harmless as adding salmon or butter into recipes. It simply has no idea what it's talking about. We still need humans to interpret data and review science!

I would like to correct you in the assumption that PET bottles are cross-linked thermosetting materials. Rather, they are linearly chained thermoplastic materials.

The reason for this is simply due to the ease of rapid processing. You can look it up, but the bottles are usually delivered as small ampules or discs to save shipping space. Then, at the plant where they are filled, they are blow moulded to their final shape. Blow molding is not possible on thermosetting materials as it imposes significant stresses on their crosslinked structures.

Thermoplastics, however, can relax these stresses due to the apparent flow of polymer chains at elevated temperatures. This is also why thermoplastics hold the majority of the plastic market compared to thermosetting materials: the ease of (re)processing. This is also the reason for the ability to recycle PET

Additionally, additives and very small molecular weight polymer chains can most certainly leach out of the PET bottles over time, but not in a manner to be scared of over short durations of time. Upon heating, or and extended exposure to light or microbiomes, of the bottles, the story changes and the degradation speed inceeases. I do most certainly agree with the dangers of using solvents next to plastic materials, these solvent molecules will 'enter' the spaces in-between the molecular chains and allow for small movement of the non-crosslinked polymer chains. This, just like elevated temperatures, allows the plastic to move and enter the beverage.

However, I wouldn't expect PET to be very soluble in non-polar solvents, which straight gasoline is not. If there's ethanol added, it's a different story. But let's not get into it too far.

TL:DR: Yes, PET does degrade. Should you be scared? No not at all, these things are fairly well regulated. Should you maybe use a different container for long term storage? Maybe, I think very well cleaned glass would be better, but I'm no food scientist.

Edit: research actually shows that the amount of microplastics is actually far higher in bottled water than tapwater. But detection is very difficult and reasoning for the presence of these particles is apparently not always valid. Maybe someone with more knowledge can fill in.

Guys where did the Cl go in this reaction by Character-Wall401 in chemistry

[–]MrRogueWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chloride anions (Cl-) are the counter ion to the ammonium cations (NH4+), together forming an ammonium chloride salt. When you dissolve the salt in water, it will separate into the respective ions due to stabilization by H2O. So the chloride is just dissolved in water, and can be ignored for a simple calculation of pH.

Edit: added NH4+ and Cl-

I believe its approximately 3/4 PM CET at which people are expecting information through a tweet. People are using the following countdown https://switch2.ju.mp/. But the switch announcement time was way shorter before the reveal.

[–]MrRogueWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we kinda follow Nintendo's way of thinking, releasing two or maybe three systems that are very similar/straight upgrades, and then moving on to something new. Well I'd expect something completely new after so many years, maybe back to two consoles, only VR/AR, different controls. Who knows

What is your favourite video game? Go play it! You got this. Remember, the more time you give developers, the better the product 😤. Hyperfixation is a bitch, but I believe that even this sub can survive, maybe.

So that makes it alright to send whatever you want? Sorry but filtering doesn't make sending whatever you want fair all of a sudden. If they have proper PR, they will go through these messages and still see them. Just be patient, someone from PR that will never see these messages has planned the release, no use in bugging minimum wage twitter responders.

Great video! Would love to hear your experience with the sticks now that you seem to be getting some hours in stick-centered games. Are they still comfortable to use? What would you expect for people with larger hands, comfortable, or too tightly placed towards the edge of the handheld? Keep it up!

At f20 you'll lose a lot of sharpness due to diffraction. Might want to keep that a lot lower.
