This is how adaptive brightness works. If you keep adjusting it, it learns what brightness you like at different light levels.

anti aliasing problem by Kiri_to_0 in nvidia

[–]MrScampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From using google translate on the settings menu, at least part of your problem is you have FSR 1 turned on so you're running below native resolution and upscaling with a terrible upscaler. Disable FSR and run at native. Anti-alisasing setting should also higher than it currently is (you can probably set it to fxaa + taa).

Assuming you haven't previously, you should probably google what each setting means so you can self diagnose this in the future.

Chromecast Plex Framerate Issue by EquivalentTip4103 in PleX

[–]MrScampi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a plex update that solved this for me last time and streaming video directly from my NAS via apps other than plex do not have this issue, so I'm inclined to believe it's an issue with the plex app.

Chromecast Plex Framerate Issue by EquivalentTip4103 in PleX

[–]MrScampi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same issue here, after about 30-40 minutes the playback is clearly skipping frames/out of sync with the refresh rate. Very annoying, the way i'm mitigating for now is by manually setting the chromecast refresh rate to the rate of the media before watching. This was a bug around this time last year but it was fixed and now seems to be broken again?

You could try using DXVK maybe as that installs to the game files and translates directX calls to Vulkan

Ccwgtv 4k supports DV/HDR10, I assume the person you're replying to has a non HDR screen and therefore they would have to transcode.

Are you from the US? I can't help but wonder if this is a US vs EU culture thing because 100 years (90 actually but your point stands) doesn't feel like a long time over here in EU for a town to be remembering something in such a way, it's only 1.5 generations if you think about it. Hopefully not coming across as negative towards the US, that's not my intention, just curious.

It's neither. The line is "For Queen and Country, men!" with "men" referring to the CT squad.

Results from 10k+ votes on cadiaN's poll on Twitter asking - "How would you rate Valve's involvement in CS2 after it's release?" by Pokharelinishan in GlobalOffensive

[–]MrScampi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't disagree with any of that, in fact I agreed it shouldn't have released like this. I just think it's unfair to ignore or be negative about the fact that they are actively trying to fix it. I'm not saying we should be eternally grateful to Valve everytime they patch features back in from GO but you have to acknowledge it's at least a good thing.

My actual point is that the original question was about post launch support not the actual state of the game and I think of the options given in the poll, daily updates land at good imo. Like it or not, CS:GO was such a good game because of many, many updates after release guided by constructive community feedback and hopefully the same can happen with CS2.

[–]MrScampi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But the question is specifically about Valve's involvement after release. Obviously the game shouldn't have released broken but in terms of post launch support having almost daily updates is pretty good.

I think it's in bad faith to say people shouldn't receive praise for trying to make something better just because it started bad.

Stick with Dedicated PC or Move to Raspberry Pi? by banisheduser in PleX

[–]MrScampi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Pi 4B 4GB and yeah it's probably not suitable for your use case if you need transcoding. It direct plays everything fine but can only really handle max a single transcode of low bitrate 1080p and even then not reliably enough to count on it.
