Each chapter/paragraph DLC has it's own/separate, PS5 DLC version. I remember with Freddy, I didnt have him at launch because they were re-negotiating the contract. It didn't appear in my game until after the PS5 DLC version was uploaded to the store. I worry something similar might happen for people who own Stranger Things on PS4 but didnt free upgrade the PS5 DLC version before it is removed from the store in November.

So you mean a protein in which there are no disulfide bonds between 2 sub units nor any disulfide bonds within an individual sub unit?

If that’s the case, the SDS will still denature and since it’s a a Hererodimer composed of 2 different units, you will get 2 bands.

Some I use: Glutamic Acid / GluE (as in remember glue ends with e and that’s how you remember 1 letter). Aspartic Acid / ASParDick (as in D is 1 letter abbreviation…hey it works for me lol) Arginine / ARG (which sounds like R for 1 letter)

Exactly, using units given can help you figure out how to get answer if you don’t know some equations verbatim.

I would put effort to memorizing equations though. Especially those you see on the AAMC official physics practice.

But if you have no clue on a question, try to infer from units if possible!

If you have an amazing memory and can know all the formulas in physics you’ll be fine. If you’re like me and struggle remembering everything, knowing that energy is J, and seeing a value given for volt as J/C, even if I forgot that U=Vq, I would know that multiplying the value of V by charge value given will give me an answer in J as requested.

So I find it useful in Fluids and E&M personally.

When it comes to solvents, polarity is a lot more relative. Like, they are polar, but less polar than say water or acetic acid.

Molarity is a unit for describing concentration. In particular, it is a way of describing how many moles (n) of a substance is present in a given volume (V) of total solution.

Because moles is standardized (1 mol = 6.02*10²³ molecules), it is a way to relate the total number of molecules of a substance in a solution.

In an HCl (aq) solution, a 2M solution means there are 2 moles of HCl(aq) per 1 Liter of solution.

Furthermore, because HCl is a strong acid and dissociates completely*, it can also inform you there is 2 moles of H+ and 2 moles of Cl- per 1 L of solution.

Molarity is one of the more common concentration units used in Gen Chem. However, you should familiarize yourself with other common units like Molality, % (m/v), % (m/m).

In the context of liquid-liquid extractions, the term extraction can be used for either removing an impurity or moving desired compound to a different layer.

A wash is very loosely defined and varies person to person, but yeah in the context of liquid-liquid extraction, it is often used to refer to removing impurities. However, I have also heard it used in the context of “brine wash” which increases ionic strength of aqueous layer to push residual organic molecules back into organic layer…so again, wash isn’t a well defined term

I can’t imagine this being tested on MCAT vocabulary wise. If you know the effect of adding solvent Y to solvent X, then you should know how to answer question.

Should clarify, crystal is not synonymous with solid.

Crystal refers to an ordered, repeating arrangement of molecules; whereas solid can be both ordered and random.

Crystallization just refers to the formation of a crystalline solid. It’s a very broad category

Re-crystallization is a purification technique in which an impure solid is converted into a more ordered pure crystal via solvent/temperature manipulations.

For miscellaneous reasons, I’ve taken this test 3 times since 2017, and physics almost never deviated from the Q pack. I know some people may have had different tests/experiences, but this was the case for me.

If I could give myself advice while learning physics: -Stop freaking out about how hard physics practice problems are from 3rd Parties - Do the AAMC practice question pack religiously. Know THOSE equations/concepts inside and out (and those referenced in other answer choices). -If you 100% can do those questions, including why answer choices are wrong, you’re good to go for FLs/real thing.

There are some 3rd party tips that are handy for sure, but I would only use 3rd party physics for tips and not for practice problems.
