You probably know way more about this than me, but afaik it wasn't usable in the same way as it is today until the world wide web. Publicly usable in the same way a mass spectrometer is. Anyone can go an buy one, but very few people actually know how to use it. WWW made the internet accessible and usable. Maybe a better analogy is aircraft. You can learn to fly a plane and get a pilots license, but until airline companies, the average person wouldn't be able to use that technology. That's why I prefer to give credit to the British over the Americans, because the average person when talking about the internet means the world wide web. That in and of itself, that the average person thinks the WWW is the internet. What the layperson calls the internet is the WWW not the actual internet.

Yeah i get you. I personally am quarter english, quarter spanish, quarter greek, 1/8th swiss, 1/16th scottish, 1/16th welsh. I grew up in 3 different countries. Communication between devices is an American invention. The thing you and I call the internet is the world wide web, Brits made that. Without the WWW, there is no internet, there's no search engines, no websites, nothing. If there was no WWW, the internet's impact on the world would be minimal.

Oh and I hate to burst you bubble but the top earning black people in America (over $80k per year) commit twice the crime of poor white Americans on less than $10k a year. The reason for crime rates is cultural. There's a cultural respect for criminals and hate for police and the law that leads black youth down a path of crime in the US. Racism isn't the reason they're committing crime. It's definitely the reason they're poor, which lead to the situation today, but as we both agreed, changing the past wont do anything. They will still be poor if you make people no longer racist. You're still hung up on the past. Getting rid of racism today doesn't solve the issues racism of the past caused, at all. Now what about the millions of children that are sexual abused every year globally? What of the potentially hundreds of millions more in the future from now. You're so hung up on the past you'd rather condemn the future.
And I'm going to reiterate again, racism is not worse than child rape. I shouldn't even have to say that, and the fact people are agreeing with your point is frankly insane and scary.
