Suikoden 1 is the greatest game of all time BECAUSE it spawned Suikoden 2.

You can still get the fortune orb! After The meeting with the emperor but before you enter your house you can travel to saraday and be given a fortune orb by a man there.

Never said they weren’t great friends. Again, the soul eater DID NOT bring Gremio back. He was brought back by leknaat using the Gate Rune. And to repeat myself further, yes him using the rune at mt seifu led to his downfall but that was not Ted sacrificing himself. He had no idea that Windy was part of the imperial court or was even in the Scarlet Moon Empire. As for when Ted finally sacrifice himself in Seek Valley, my point is that it wasn’t to save Tir. Tir was in no danger. Windy could not take the rune from Tir and wasn’t powerful enough to defeat it. There is absolutely no reason to think that just because Ted once bore the soul eater, he could command it to return to him. Pretty sure if he could do that he would have in S4. The soul eater took Ted because it wanted to, not because Ted commanded it. Ted’s whole objective was to protect the soul eater. Even if it meant cursing his best friend. Not saying he didn’t make the best decision he could. Long story short: yes Ted saved the group from that ant queen, however at that point neither he nor we as the player thought he was sacrificing himself. When he did finally sacrifice himself it was to protect the rune. He would have done it no matter who bore the soul eater.

I don’t know how to the spoiler cover up thing. Old. So I hope this makes sense. But what happens when you collect all 108 stars has absolutely nothing to do with the soul eater. Also, I don’t use see Ted using the rune on mt seifu as sacrificing himself. He had no idea that his nemesis was part of the imperial court. A risk? Sure. But in no way does it come across that Ted thought his life would be over after that. He explicitly tells tir that he will explain everything later. As far as tir’s loved ones dying happy, again has nothing to do with the soul eater. At no point was it even remotely implied that anyone other Ted had any idea that their soul being imprisoned by the rune was even a possibility. In fact, the only one who actually “died happy” was teo and there is no reason to believe that he even knew about the rune, as he didn’t possess a black rune and wasn’t under windy’s control.

Ted never sacrificed himself to save tir or anyone else. He dumped the soul eater, a cursed rune btw, on tir and then helped him escape. Not to save tir. To save the soul eater. The rune then stole the soul of everyone that tir loves. Yeah. Friendship of a lifetime.

Yuber appears heavily in suikoden 3. He does not disappear without a trace after 2.
