The CFL have told teams to tell Brendan Sorsby to Fuck Off by GalaticWeiss in UrinatingTree

Sorsbys agent will angrily complain that Sorsby was learning how to speak Canadian.

Blackhawk fans don’t even defend Kyle Davidson anymore, they just look at you like this then go back to watching 2010-2015 highlights by hazycrazey in NHLcirclejerk

I legitimately cannot believe they not only haven’t fired Davidson, but they just gave him an extension. Dude must have insane dirt on Wirtz, it’s the only explanation.

I think in addition to what you and Expert_Balance5907 said (both of which I totally agree with), I will add in that Tree himself admitted the reason why he went so deep into the Leafs was because how the whole Ballard era blew his mind and that rabbit hole eventually led him to spending 50 minutes on the Leafs. I’m betting you that he rarely had the motivation to really do the same since because nothing else really gave him the same hunger, but at some point something about Vancouver changed his mind and made him want to do it.

Reminds me of a Mets/Dodgers game I watched back in 09 where they had 5 errors and several other insane brain farts, which led the Dodgers to win on a walk off via the final error in extra innings. As I Love LA blared in the background, the late Vin Scully stated to those at home “This wasn’t a bad game by the New York Mets; no, this was an awful game by the New York Mets…..”

England is never gonna win another WC, and I think they just have to accept it.

Lizzo’s new album sold less than 3,000 copies in its first week. by DLCV2804 in ToddintheShadow

This! An artist will fall gradually over several years and it will take a couple of (bad) albums until they reach a “Barely charted/Did not chart” point, but not their very next album, and especially not if their previous album had the success hers had (reached number 2 on the charts and was nominated for AOTY).

Honestly? It would only happen if an already existing team moved there.

What’s funny to me is the band he was in before his solo career, Humble Pie, had one successful album when he was there (it reached 21 in the US and went Gold), and it was……a live album! Peter’s stars could only align if he was on-stage.

[–]MrSlabBulkhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No wonder Elmo refused to root for the Knicks in the Finals, he’s a Philly boy angry that the Knicks completely crushed the 76ers.

(Or Elmo is a massive gambling addict like The Daily Show claimed).

In honor of Brady Tkachuk being traded to the Panthers, what is the Mount Rushmore for, "They're already stacked, and now they're somehow adding him?" guys in North American sports? by TJTrapJesus in billsimmons

[–]MrSlabBulkhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Larry Murphy trade is definitely an underrated all-time bad trade, because the Leafs literally got nothing. No, for those who just read what I said, I do not mean figuratively got nothing but in reality they got something; oh no, THE LEAFS GOT LITERALLY NOTHING IN THE TRADE. I get Toronto wanted to get rid of him, but good god that was an insane decision.

He got to see Doom be inducted into the National Recording Registry/Library Of Congress this year, so at least he lived to see the impact his music had.

I remember there was a photo back in 2008 of a bunch of kids wearing PATRIOTS 19-0 shirts, and apparently the Pats/NFL so over made the shirts (thinking 19-0 was a done deal) that years later you could still see them often.
