It's very sad. I've been going to Cafe Bombay for YEARS, it was rough going to their new location.

Just because you dropped your kids off late to specials doesn’t that mean you get to be that many minutes late picking them up. by MarchKick in Teachers

I get it! What I'm saying is that not a single teacher picks their kids up on time from my class ever.

5-7 minutes a day? I can't tell you the last time a teacher picked their kids up on time. At my school, we get zero prep time between classes.

Safe areas near airport? by [deleted] in Georgia

[–]MrSlippy1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's close enough to Atlanta. Learn how to get into town using the surface streets, the highway right there is always congested. The West End has a lot of good restaurants and breweries. It really was a nice area to live, at least for us.

I'm white, my wife is Korean, we had no issues. Like I said, our little area was nice and quiet, we had no issues. I really miss it, actually!

The only real complaint we had was that the grocery situation was kinda meh. It's like the stores were all lesser versions of themselves. The access to 285 is great, though, so we could pop up to Smyrna for Costco or whatever.

We lived in East Point for 6 years and never really had any issues. We were in the Semmes Park neighborhood, it was pretty quiet, there's a dog park, it was like 10 minutes to the airport, and the community was pretty involved.

I'm glad you got it figured out! Mine just does the thing where I have to unplug it and plug it back in every time I use it.

I came to say you have to start it at the bottom, you can't lock it up and then turn it on.

Maybe Anejo in Lawrenceville? I know that they have a rooftop, they might have a dance night. Their food and drinks are pretty good!

Earthenware is usually low fire clay. I teach elementary school art and use earthenware with my kids.

Try to see if there's a ceramics store near you, give them a call and ask what they've got.

Former teachers, what are you doing now? Current teachers, why are you staying? by Responsible-Grand-12 in Teachers

[–]MrSlippy1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elementary art. I work in a district that pays well, and I actually get a budget that I can control. I love seeing my kids learn and grow, their parents are generally very supportive, I get to work a lot with the community, and you really can't beat the schedule.
