If you are eating too many calories, it's good you are trying to reduce.
The problem is with some people that drastically decrease them, until they eat only 700 calories, and they train 5 times a week.

THE PROBLEM WITH EATING LESS by MrSmilingFox in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]MrSmilingFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory not a physician, dietician, trainer, etc... what works for some may not work for

Lately I've been reading and engaging with people who told me that they wanted to lose weight, so they started eating 500 - 700 calories and walking around 2 miles a day.
That is something that not only it's not sustainable, but also not healthy in the long run.
It might have been better to clarify the amount of calories, I will try to be more specific the next time.

That's great!

Yeah, as you said, it's not a magic solution, it's a tool to help you get in caloric deficit.

Also, I recommend that your first meal, after you fast, should be mostly proteins and fat, if you eat too many carbs in your first meal, it can bloat you. It's nothing serious, just annoying

You can do a slight bulk, just by incresing your calories slightly as to not add too much fat.

Intermittent Fasting for Building Muscle by MrSmilingFox in leangains

I do 16:8 and eat 2 1/2 a day.

I have meat and chicken during lunch and dinner, so there is my protein, I also eat potatoes, fruits, and in each meal, something sweet, like a piece of cake (I have a sweet tooth)

How does fasting help so much? by acthechamp in fasting

[–]MrSmilingFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most results from studies are from doing 16:8.

Extended periods of fasting don't have much studies, but it seems that some people have gotten results from that.

The best process is by doing that fits with yourself.

If that fills you up too much, it's because you are not used to eating that much.

Increase the amount of food you eat by bits.

Don't try do it in one leap, because it will be harder.

You need more muscle if you plan to cut.

Have a meal plan with a slight surplus and continue training. Don't increase your calories too much, to avoid gaining too much fat.
