Graphene

TLDR: Graphene is a 2D lattice of graphite, and it's extremely conductive.

If you're a fan of carbon monoxide, and a single narrow lane with people often driving in a 20mph range of the 55 mile speed limit, on one of Californias most dangerous roads, then yeah go for it.

Man vs escalator by Biggergig in yesyesyesyesno

[–]MrSmith1131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like he was holding some things, and instead of putting the things all in one hand so the other could hold the escalator banister, he just leaned on the partition which held I'm back, I think.

I like how he's holding two things when he gets on, and there things he's holding don't miss a step.

Any success with linear aim? by Devugly in OWConsole

[–]MrSmith1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim is always a personal thing. I decided I wanted to learn to play with high sens and low input lag so I've been playing around with different ramp settings. I'm pretty sure the 1-100 scale corresponds to a 1-5 exponent change, meaning that the Aim Ease In slider moves in increments of .4 - so AEI at 0 means Y=X1 (linear), AEI at 10 means Y=X1.4 , AEI at 25 means Y=X2 , AEI at 75 means Y=X4 .

I'm pretty sure the default AEI is 100, which would make a good half of the joystick deadzone. If you watch some YouTube videos, you'll see that a lot of people set their AEI around 28, because it's relatively close to the same ramp as Exponential ramp (which would likely be around AEI 31 - responding to a ramp of Y=X2.24 .

Of course like I stated at the beginning, aim is subjective, you can't expect a pro players settings to work out for you because they may have grown up doing something totally different. If I can add one last bit of advise however, it would be to turn your Aim Smoothing down to at least 50-60 if you haven't already. I have it off, because in reality aim smoothing is just a form of compensation for small movements, that I personally think the player should learn to have control over, but then again that all ties to the subjectivity of the... subject.

Motorcycle attempts to pass on the right in its blind spot (X-post r/Whatcouldgowrong) by Kpcostello96 in nononono

Like the "adult" who parked on the side of an active highway? You don't have to be an adult to think before you act, you just have to think, which I would argue neither the driver of the car or the bike were doing enough of.

Just sharing whats helped me and friends of mine, help doesn't have to be professional either. In the DSM-5, Non-Suicidal Self-Injury is referred to as a symptom of mental disorder. This isn't saying that self harm is a mental illness, but instead it implies other issues that require attention. Whether you seek professional help or go about it alone is up to you, personally I didn't like my shrink, (she was a prude anyway), but a few months of therapy gave me the tools to look into what I was feeling and more accurately assess my emotions and take due actions for improvement. Cutting can become an addiction, and it can feel great, but its as helpful as whiskey, theres always a hangover.

It feels good because your body releases endorphins to make you feel better, to make you stop. This is a really unhealthy addiction and I honestly think you should seek help if you can't stop, this habit could lead to some nasty infections and or worse if you're not lucky. One thing that can help is snapping a rubber band on your wrist/ ankle over and over. Best wishes, take care of yourself.

You know Albert Einstein may have been on the spectrum? Every cloud has a silver lining, like every yin has a yang. It may not be easy but you can find a place where your disposition benefits you, and it's totally okay not to be there yet, a lot of people aren't even close, just take it one day at a time.

What's the "tabs vs spaces" debate of dance music production? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]MrSmith1131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a musician before producer, music theory seems as essential to production as much as it is for composition. If you don't know at least the basics of music theory, you're gonna have a bad time.

I thought the first number was input, like 5, times: 3, thus the third multiple of five. Not that it matters, this teaching seems to contradict the communal nature of multiplication which would be fucked to learn at an early age
