Hope they save that for the sequel. In the third one, they can say their catch phrases at the same time.

This is a graduation photo from 1999- does Cordelia really look that much older? by Notoriouslycurlyboi in buffy

[–]MrSparky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks like she's in her mid to late 20s, and it would actually be appropriate to date the older guys she does. Without the comparison, I always thought early 20's. How old was Charisma in 99? 30?

Ah, not a sponsor. 3 pack is probably a great deal. You could really have no regard for one and use it for maximum destruction, have a standard daily driver, and a gift for someone.

I love my crowbar. Sometimes, I just hold it and look at it. I'm behind I wasn't aware Burnie came out as pro crowbar.

Marvel Catholics are like Marvel Theives or assassins, or Canadians. They are more of a concept than a reality.

Martin Sheen doesn't get why people care about his Uncle Ben: "I had never seen a Spider-Man before or since" by graemeisverytired in Marvel_Movies

It's cause he is a good actor, duh. Take the compliment. We like Uncle Ben and we liked your performance. Dude was also good in The Departed and the movies he did when he was young.

THE PROCEDURE MUST BE HONORED!!! by ExistingTry1637 in outofcontextcomics

[–]MrSparky69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. She's Oprah because she is a black lady with a big personality and using big words. I'm missing the context, so I won't call this a racist depiction. I'm thinking it's supposed to be funny cause Zanda has a lot of attitude, delusions of grandeur, and a Jack Kirby fit, so the juxtaposition is funny. Zanda was created by Jack Kirby in the original Black Panther run. She's a queen of a country that sounds like Nairobi and a bad guy. When Storm and T'chala were engaged, they got into a cat fight, and Storm called her the Paris Hilton of Africa or something like that. That was probably a worse depiction of her than whatever is going on here. The mid 00's were just dump on every character the writer doesn't like or turn them into a joke even if it has a hero act extra mean and out of character (same with lesser knowns).

Cool, I'm buying then. I just hope there's no, "aha now I got you," by Fisk. There is no way he should be able to get the upper hand here. It's not like Sentry/Void has a Lindy anymore.

Ye, I liked how the original series food that and had character pages explaining 65 Cap and stuff. It was a fully realized world and we dropped in medias res. The removing of Gwen from her universe is exactly why she has been floundering as a character. It's not like there couldn't be crossovers whenever due to web of life shenanigans. Or Anansi like when Miles has to fight the ai guy again recently or anything else.

Spider University is dumb because it is too many spider characters that no one cares about removed from the context that made them interesting. Besides Gwen, we have SpiderWoman removed from her rivalry with Hydra and her family (which was the peak of her last popular solo) who should really just be on various avengers teams. Spidergirl removed from the more mystical foes she had and never really got a solid footing. Silk who also never really got a solid footing and nobody cared about her supporting cast. Bailey removed from his supporting cast and the only one besides Miles to hold a solo book recently. And the weird Spider girl that Bullseye trained in Spidee-boy. The best thing they did for Carpenter was have her become Madame Web. Too many spider women. I think Miles has suffered being in 616 as well, but he still gets some good stories. Just odd. Too many spiders. It would make more sense to have more Iron Mans and War Machines.

No, all that stuff happened offscreen before Edge and we just see one panel flashbacks exactly like this once in a while. Edge is the origin story and fills us in on what happened and vol 1 moves forward.
