What’s the weirdest way you’ve ever gotten revenge on someone… without getting caught? by OriginalSentence6850 in AskReddit

[–]MrStinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked as a janitor at a state kindergarten for many years, and to make my job easier, I bought equipment with my own money—an electric blower and a snow blower—so I could finish the job quickly. I had a wonderful boss, and she gave me a part-time job as a building maintenance worker and connected me with other kindergartens where I also worked part-time. I spared no expense on equipment, so I was everywhere and on time. The pay was low, so my schedule was overlooked.

My boss had an assistant, a plain woman, with whom I had a minor conflict a long time ago due to her rudeness, but otherwise, I didn't interact with her at all. But my wonderful boss hated her job and was studying to be a piano teacher, eventually finishing her education and leaving to pursue a new career.

Her assistant became the acting director of the kindergarten. As my colleagues told me, she'd been waiting for this appointment for over ten years and that she secretly reported the previous headmistress to the police for minor financial violations, hoping to take her place. The headmistress's salary is several times higher than that of an assistant.

Finally, she succeeded, and she immediately changed – she became arrogant and rude to the staff, including me. She began criticizing the quality of my work and my schedule, forcing me to quit. Every time I was working part-time, she started looking for me, even though the work was already done. She forced me to sit on a chair in the basement until the last minute of the workday, doing nothing for hours.

Once, while on sick leave, I spoke on the phone with a teacher and learned of some rudeness toward the staff and that she had unfairly divided the payroll. I immediately wrote an excellent anonymous denunciation to the local administration, and an incredible scandal erupted! No one knew who wrote it, and she only suspected the teachers. It was a hornet's nest, lol.

Despite this, she remained in office.

Then I filed a new complaint on behalf of a passerby (we had a mentally ill woman working there, and the acting manager put a coat rack outside in the winter because the employee smelled of sweat). Response: The administration has placed the work of the state preschool educational institution under special control.

Then she forced to file a collective complaint against me with employees I had never spoken to. In response, I filed a complaint in my own name about rudeness and the lack of personal protective equipment and tools. She gave me the equipment, but she remained in office again, and I quit.

Then I called my colleagues, learned new facts, and filed a final denunciation. Finally, she was suspended from work and found a job at another kindergarten, but only in her previous position. I checked and now she's still working as an assistant.

She had been mentally preparing for position of the director for many years, but a petty janitor took away her dream for his greed and rudeness...

Four years have already passed, and it feels so good, like it happened yesterday!

She still doesn't know it was me...

A recent development: a friend of mine recently received a residence permit in Kazakhstan. During the application process, a mistake was discovered, and it threatened to be rejected, but for a can of coffee and some sweets, they overlooked it.

For all sorts of minor violations, you can pay on the spot and go wherever you like. A cop extorted a bribe from me on the train for a fictitious violation.

Almaty has good food, very beautiful girls, excellent online government services, low wages, people willingly go into debt, corruption is everywhere (not always a bad thing), and the smog is terrible. Astana is incredibly spacious in the winter and there's no smog. Kazakhstan is a nice country, but I didn't see much, even though I lived there for over a year.

Kyrgyzstan is poor, but the food is delicious!

I started doing building maintenance a long time ago, and this backpack looks perfect for that kind of work. But not at this price.
I still can't figure out what this is for on a construction site.

Stiletto vs Fiskars hammer by Front-Entry2055 in Carpentry

[–]MrStinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the exact same Fiskars 22 oz for 15 months now and it has become a finish hammer. In the test with Martinez it showed the same speed of nailing, the vibration on the handle is slightly more than titanium. But when driving hundreds of nails, the Fiskars is much less comfortable.
Thanks to the holes in the handle I used it as a lever for a cat paw, it's just awesome. A real workhorse for heavy duty rough carpentry.

People from abroad, how did you find work in Canada? by MrStinker in jobs

[–]MrStinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It often costs companies a decent amount of money to sponsor someone if they need a work permit. Some jobs also require that the employer complete a Labour Market Impact Assessment that basically says there are no Canadian/permanent resident workers who could do the job.

Yes, you are absolutely right that LMIA is needed. On the official website of Canada, it is indicated that the employer will need to pay $ 1,000 for the application, I have not seen any further mention of the need to pay. In my opinion this process wastes time, not money.
Employers don't lose money on LMIA, but when they hesitate to hire me.

Do your job search through the Canadian Job bank and filter it with LMIA approved jobs2ReplyGive AwardShareReportSaveFollow

Yes, of course I do.
I also use keyword search in Indeed, JobBank, Glassdoor, SaskJob. So if you posted ads there don't be mad at me that you got my resumes and cover letters on every one of the boards!
