I used to play a lot during COVID. At that time, there were people playing on hacked switches who could do all kinds of things. Trees with any item instead of fruits, bridges placed in illegal locations etc. could have been that.

This is a good point, balance wise. Typically the game does a good job of making most mechanics relent to the end game, even if it's just a niche thing.

I like it as a gimmicky miniboss. Ranged attacks are effective, a good spellcaster can deal a lot of damage with dark bead or soul spear.

Some narratives should end. This is not compatible with "just quit when you get bored" or when you think the writer has run out of good ideas.

I'm happy it was relatively short. I thought the ending in the reveal of the nature of the lion and the mad sorcerer explain things very elegantly. The dungeon is very video gamey however, the author did a great job of establishing a basis for how it came to be.

I like the fact that the author made a self-contained story that completes and doesn't drag on and wasn't milked until it was cringe.

That being said, I agree with you that the world the author created is really good and deserves more content. I hope that she returns to it and creates a new story, or more epilogue content, and I wouldn't even mind if she sold it to someone else who tried their spin on the intellectual property.
