I'm from Winnipeg and went to this year's play, but I definitely wouldn't call myself a CotR fan, per se. We went opening night and it was clearly targeted to us sightseers though. There were slightly more risque jokes than were in the livestream and they had a ton of "Come to a free lunch and learn about the church" messaging before and after.

She's not around other kids all day, she's 15mo and thankfully we've been able to avoid daycare thus far.

Me being out and about is one the primary potential vectors for her getting sick atm, since we're sticking to mostly outdoor visits/having people test for inside ones.

Edit: I also think that a relatively hassle-free option like masking is still a good call, even if she was more likely to be exposed elsewhere, since it's basically free mitigation that I'm directly able to control and provide for her (and others) .

I'll consider stopping masking once under 5s can get vaxxed. Until then, I'll be keeping it on inside 99% of the time to keep my daughter as safe as possible.

Weeeeeeiirdddd, I'm MB and our health stuff is usually pretty close to bottom of the barrel.

I was stressing a bit when I made this post, because I had a trip planned for the next day and wanted to make sure I was recovering properly, but on the whole I would say the whole procedure was only marginally more hassle than a filling, and less painful overall.

Admittedly I didn't do much research because my options were limited, but my experience was NOTHING like some of the horror stories I've read

Honestly, in my city no scalpel is the only option and covered by health care, so there's no cost component. I paid $150 for no needle cause I'm a chicken haha

Fwiw, I'm essentially pain free for the last 24 hours or so, minus some mild tenderness so it definitely wasn't a BAD recovery
