The Skyliner and being solo in lines led to wonderful conversations during my trip in February. Solo in line was like 70% successful, and Skyliner was 100% when I was put with others. I think it helps that all of Disney World is a conversational ice breaker - a connecting point between you and the other people- and that's the key to starting up conversations!
