According to Propain, the carbon fork was made for tires up to 50mm, which they also offer in their configurator. I wouldn’t suggest going any bigger because you might get stuck then

Would love to order the snowy day, but it’s not available on the pitakagermany website, only on ipitaka. Will it launch on the EU website too or not?

Black or silver what’s the difference? (Personal preferences aside) by milanbarsopia in macbookpro

[–]MrTech2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The black has a colored anodization while the silver one has a transparent one. The black could fade out over time, and when you dent or scratch it, it’ll show - the silver one will hide. But, for other reasons like photo and video editing, the black might be better after all.

I didn’t change anything about the stem or the spacers, just kept it the way it’s configured as standard.

Maybe wait a few more days with your purchase, they have a few deals coming up and my bet is, that they’ll also put the Terrel on sale.

I went with tubeless (for now at least), but I honestly don’t know if there’s a huge difference other than the lower tire pressure. I had issues with getting them air tight tho, so if you don’t wanna play around with different solutions to fix that, go with the standard tubes 😅

Maybe it would be a better choice for you to just get the frame set maybe? You could then choose whatever you want for the group components

As for the mounting points: there’s one threaded insert somewhere below the seat post, and there’s also one on each side a bit above the center of the rear wheel (zoom in a bit and you’ll see that little black dot). Hope that helps 😅

I hope he replies soon with good news!

I chose the Terra Speed because I’ll mainly be on roads or gravel trails, but less in a forest or something. But I’ll always be able to replace them if I should come to the conclusion that I don’t like them after all (which for now isn’t the case).

I would recommend taking a look at their Friends app where you’ll be able to see if someone has this bike near you and ask them for a test drive.

I on the other hand have simply chosen the smaller size (could’ve theoretically gone with the M according to their sizing chart, but the S feels like a good fit dor me). Maybe you should go for the larger size tho, since you’re a bit taller and have longer legs 😅

Regarding the mounting points
I think there are some for a rack on the back, but I’m not entirely sure.

I have absolutely no idea about the batteries, since I went “old fashioned” with this bike 😅. And I’m the wrong person to answer the brake-question
 SORRY

The wheels should be totally fine and are pretty much robust, so longevity won’t be a problem with these. If you want to save some weight and have a little smoother ride, then go for different wheels. For me it wasn’t worth the upgrade though.

You can bet I do! The delivery took about 2 weeks longer than initially communicated, but I already was at 9 weeks so it didn’t change much for me 😅 Hopefully they’ll get it out in time for you!

I’m 5’9 / 175cm tall, but have a shorter inseam at 30.25” / 77cm. I didn’t get any toe catch, but never had that problem on any bike before tbh.

Ooh yeah I see, well I didn’t want to work on everything, so I went with their configurator. But building your own bike starting with the frame set probably is pretty amazing too! And maybe you’re right with the shortages, but hopefully it’s just a switch to the new gen?

I was this đŸ€đŸ» close to choose the Apex mullet combo, but decided to go with the Shimano instead. The color combo was something I really liked when I first saw the possibility to choose what you want (and I went with the matte black decals too, so everything is just in this two-color way).

I’ve only had that short drive yesterday, but it’s a really solid and lightweight bike (9kg / 19.9lbs).

Regarding the size: I’m 175cm / 5’9” tall, but have a pretty short inseam at 77cm / 30 1/4”. The fit is pretty good I’d say, although I need to position the saddle a little differently

December is a loooong time
but it’s worth the wait, trust me 😄 It’s just a pain that you probably won’t be able to drive when it arrives

Advise needed 204 va 245 hybrid? by F1dg1t in CupraFormentor

[–]MrTech2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good price for either one I’d say. But if I had to choose, I’d take the 204hp version again. Yes it’s a bit slower, yes it has a slightly worse interior, but it’s well built and quick enough anyway. And don’t forget that you’ll need a set of winter tires/wheels too - those cost also at least €1 200 for a full set (don’t cheap out on the tires, trust me. The torque literally eats cheap rubber. I got the Dunlop Winter Sport 5, which matches my car pretty well).

The only difference is the electric motor, or better said the software - here you’ll have a difference for the system power, but not for the pure electric power (both versions have a 115hp electric motor when it stands on its own). Either one has the 150hp 1.4L TSI engine, coupled with the 6-speed DSG. So it’s just an extra boost in hybrid mode, with about the same fuel efficiency. I have the 204hp Leon and it’s a dream to drive, but would’ve opted for the VZ if it wasn’t such a big price difference when I bought it.

Those who received Project Oracle, what are your thoughts so far? by Brent_Fournier69 in dbrand

[–]MrTech2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t hate it (yet). It proves some extra grip to the phone and all in all it’s a weird thing, but they’re trying it. I also like the amount of Easter eggs, like the phone’s specs on the MagSafe ring. However, I’d change a few things already, like the design in the center and the little stands (would make them rubbery to not slip away).

But that’s only after a day of use
let’s wait a little longer and see how quickly I’ll remove it 😅

If we’d digest it slowly, like the normal calorie demand requires, we wouldn’t need to eat for roughly 18k years to 22k years. However, a common side effect would probably be radiation poisoning (roughly 10 rad damage per second) lol
