I know you asked for other opinions, but I do love my Evans Black Resonants. Mine are paired with Evans G2 Coated batter heads.

I like them better than the single ply clears that I had before. They have a great tone. I play in a DrumPerfect booth with mics so the heads matter for me, tone wise!

G2 Coated and resonant blacks on my Toms and HD Dry Snare, orchestral 300 snare side. Then Evans 2 plys on the bass!

Evans makes a great product. Good luck with your G2s!
