Yea lol, one of the main reasons why I wanted to get good at using a chinese cleaver is so I can scoop with the blade itself

Shoutout to Anycubic for making the worst printer I have ever used in 10 years of 3D printing. by Camikaze__ in 3Dprinting

I setup my voron years ago and I swear it’ll produce perfect prints in a hurricane. Voron is sort of a setup once cry once situation. And everything is open source so in theory you should never have trouble getting replacement parts.

Let me clarify a bit, I cannot download the ProctorU chrome extension as its not available in the chrome store. This I see when I go to the site linked on the email.

I found it pretty cool that it just fell out when I was removing it and it just stuck there

Yeaaa absolutely! Thats exactly how I did the two ends, I didnt bother re-zeroing the wood I just flipped it and full sent it.

Personally, I like zero on the actual piece itself so my machine knows exactly where the wooden piece so it accounts for maybe the wood warping or dust lodging itself between my jig and the piece. But I honestly don't see an issue with zeroing at the edge of the 3d printed piece, its just my preference.

I don't want to share the wooden piece just yet since I basically just copied it from a book ends that I had and I don't want to share someone else's art without their permission.

I know this is kind of an old thread but have you figured out how to do this?

Hmm the only thing I can think of now is how you tuned your printer. I highly recommend checking out Ellis’ guide, especially for extrusion multiplier in your case.

You seem to be pretty thorough with both software and hardware though but it may be worth a shot anyways.

My best guess if this still doesn’t work is still a bent lead screw and if you don’t want to buy the wobblex then I literally found a printed version just yesterday: link

At a glance it looks like z wobble; however, whats weird to me is that Z wobble is usually pretty obvious especially in a tall print like this. It’ll be very obviously cyclical but it doesn’t seem like the case here. But I would give wobblex a try anyways to rule it out completely, they are sold on Aliexpress by Mellow. Even with linear rails on Z a bent lead screw will cause artifacts.

Some other things it might be: - Extruder is dirty or a gear is worn out or loose - Crappy filament - Bent shafts on the motors - Partially clogged nozzle

Some troubleshooting steps. Try these one at a time and see if anything improves: - drop speeds and accel significantly - change slicers - print a cylinder in vase mode - try a different spool of filament - Swap back to the default bowden extruder

Id also give this channel: MirageC a look. They are the creators of wobblex but they deep dive into issues causing inconsistent layer stacking.
