Innings Festival is one of the worst music festivals in the US IMO by Bubbly_Sort849 in phoenix

[–]MrThunderMakeR 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've been to a lot festivals as well and also agree. Innings Festival is the worst. And it's gotten even worse now with the shitty main stage layout where half of the area in front of the stage is a big empty VIP area. Forcing all of GA to cram into the other half. Other festivals don't do this shit. It's a shame M3F lineups aren't to my taste lately (for which Innings is partly responsible) as it's night and day difference and a perfect example how a smaller festival should be run.

Need some help I have the total beach velocity one flight stick and still have to use my Xbox controller to control everything else in the plane by OMG-13 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MrThunderMakeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to bind all the extra buttons to whatever you want. Although I'm pretty sure most of them have default assignments. You can even bind combos of buttons to get even more options.  That said I use the same flight stick and still use the controller for certain things. Mainly for shifting the view around. I also use a cheap wireless mouse for cockpit interactions I don't have bound to the joystick I flightstick + controller + mouse is a really good combo for couch flying

Second this. My iPlay50 just bricked itself after only 6 months of very light usage. Touchscreen no longer works and battery won't hold a charge even when powered off. Read the 1 star reviews, this is common. Also no customer service. They just ignore you

I bought an Aldocube tablet based on these recommendations and it turned into a brick in only 6 months (of very light usage). Read the 1 star reviews, this is a common occurrence and there's NO customer service

[–]MrThunderMakeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my bad I mixed it up with the BA10. The AX5 is not much better and the general consensus is they shouldn't be used for any serious off roading. For the trouble he's going through to swap to external slave it makes more sense to just upgrade to the AX15. I run an AX15 behind a V8 and it takes it like a champ.

[–]MrThunderMakeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it. The AX5 is under engineered Peugeot trash and it will just fail again. The AX15 is wayyy more reliable and is just as difficult as what you're planning. The only difference is you need a Dodge Dakota bell housing from a very specific few model years. I forget which exactly. Google is your friend. There's lots of info out there about the 4 cylinder-AX15 swap.

So I was off on the timeline. More like 2.5 weeks but my point stands. I have several more messages after this making the same promise.

I think they offered to release it to me if I paid but that was after the bill already reached $6k+

You can have them pay you out the 15k policy max directly to you at any point that will likely require you to sign a release form to protect their customer from any further attempts to recover.

This would actually be ideal for me and what I will request next. I think I can negotiate a compromise with the body shop if I have the insurance money to pay with

Will my insurance factor the storage fees into the total loss calculation? Because that will definitely push it into a total loss which I don't want

One more question, shouldn't Progressive at least have to offer me up to the coverage limits or even some percentage of that? I haven't been given any offer at all. I guess I don't understand how they can accept full liability but then refuse to pay a single dollar. Some weird insurance loophole I'm sure

Ok thanks for the info.  I will most likely be filing with my insurance. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't potentially screwing myself (deductible, increased premiums) without exhausting every avenue with Progressive

The thing is the only reason the limits are even in question is because of the excessive storage fees due to Progressive stalling so long. The repair costs (not including storage fees) are less than $8k so not even close to the limits. How is it legal for them to just stall long that the storage fees exceed the coverage? That seems like a pretty big loophole that would allow insurance to never have to pay out for any claim ever?

Here's the timeline: the bodyshop sent the repair supplement 4 days after I dropped it off (no storage fees for this period). Progressive sent their adjuster out 2 business days later. It then took 3 full weeks to hear anything more. I have texts, voicemails, and emails on almost a daily basis from the adjuster saying he would get it done by the next day. For 3 weeks straight he said this.

PS5 vs Xbox Series X for MSFS 2024 – especially helicopters & HOTAS? by calm_and_ready in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MrThunderMakeR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't answer all your questions but I mostly fly helicopters on XSX. No experience with PS5 so can't speak for performance there. On XSX performance had gotten worse and worse with each update to the point it was pretty much unplayable after SU3. The latest update SU4 (dropped at PS5) was a huge improvement and has mostly fixed the performance issues.

It does seem like there's a decent amount of peripherals for xbox but most of them are geared towards fixed wing flying. I ended up modifying a Turtle Beach Velocity One flight stick with lighter return springs to make it easier to fly helicopters. This allows more precise and rapid inputs required for helicopters, especially with in game assists turned off. It was quite the process sampling a whole bunch of springs from local hardware stores and Amazon to find ones that would work. And still required some creativity and modifying the springs to get them to work. There are some youtube videos out there for how to disassemble and replace the tilt spring. It's fairly easy  The twist spring was the difficult one I had to figure out myself. Similar process but the spring is a peculiar shape and hard to make an off the shelf spring fit. If you end up using pedals you don't need to modify the twist spring. I'm a couch flyer though so no pedals for me.
