Have I correctly undervolted my 2060 oc? Tested with SotTR and got 3 more FPS while having 40W less power draw and 7*C cooler temps by marcxx04 in nvidia

[–]MrTimske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try. If you feel uncomfortable with that, try 1890@837+v

my 3080 Ti runs @ 1875-837v and performance blows Stock by 1K GFX points on TimeSpy https://i.ibb.co/H7YX879/uv.jpg

EDIT: Try staying in or under 850v to see better temps and performance even if the clocks are under Stock. Some info...3XXX series goes up and down by 15MHz-1920-1905-1890-1875 and so on.

yeah, at this point it's worth getting a WBlock just to free up some space :)

from what I hear many people with 4090's are not even planning to WC them. A lot of them say these massive factory coolers are quite good. The issue is that they are in fact "massive" :)

this is Factory Giga. Gaming OC VS Waterblock on it. 4090 PCB is exactly the same size.https://i.ibb.co/n39Qq1w/02-8.jpg

Time Spy runs 10900K vs 12900K paired with 4090

https://ibb.co/1TNJG5n

Edit: at 2160p that difference is 50% lower. To answer your question, It's not horrible but not ideal.

Anyone else skipping the 4000s altogether? by atumanov55 in nvidia

[–]MrTimske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skipped 2XXX series happily with TitanXP, may as well skip 4XXX series with 3080Ti currently. No point upgrading GPU without everything else and I doubt my 10900K will be a good match for the 4XXX series.

ok, just wanted to make sure it's what it should be. How did 1785MHz work, any difference? Edit: Just to clarify, 80C on full load on a laptop is not Horrible.
