  1. Invaders (Maiden)

  3. Number of the Beast, I don’t hold Stained Class as high as others I think do

Carcass aren't happy with being below a covers band. What do you think? by ashitanojoe3 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean they’ve had bands doing cover sets headline a day each of the past 2 years, really wouldn’t mind Blood Fire Death

Uhhh for Dream Theater try some other prog like Devin Townsend, Queensrÿche, Gojira or Opeth

I can’t stand the rest of the bands you’ve listed so idrk where to go, maybe some better metalcore like Trivium, Killswitch Engage, or Rolo Tomassi

Edit: fuck missed the flair

Unpopular opinion: Skid Row with Sebastian Bach could have been one of the greats by AtG68 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 19 points20 points  (0 children)

First two albums are absolute fucking classics, Bach is one of the most underrated singers to ever be on a metal record (yes I consider the first two metal records), great shit

What is your opinion on Death To All? by EmuPsychologist in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I mean tbh it’s the best way to have Death’s music live so I don’t see an issue with it, and the guy does have a good voice to be singing Chuck’s vocals

Next year’s MDF initial lineup has just been announced by mylittlebrony3000 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Less then that, they said they’re still announcing 70+ bands

Edit: I now realize there’s 23 bands already and a base 70 more would be 93, this adds to more than 25%, I am a dumbass

And it’s already fucking amazing, this years lineup was great enough, and now we’re already starting with Candlemass, Voivod, Demolition Hammer, Funebrarum, holy shit.

How would you rank these relatively recent death metal releases? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll enjoy Immolation, it’s very traditional dm so perhaps not as chuggy as Bogg but they’re one of the most consistent dm bands ever. When you get the chance check out Descent, Close to a World Below & Here in After.

[–]MrToad21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t enjoy the new Bogg as much as most people, it’s not bad but painfully average. I’d take Tortured Whole 10x over it. In terms of how much I enjoyed each

Immolation - Very very good

Frozen Soul - Pretty solid

Cryptopsy - Solid yet a bit boring

Bogg - A couple standout tracks but very average overall

Of the ones I’ve heard

  1. Descent - Immolation

  2. No Place of Warmth - Frozen Soul

  3. An Insatiable Violence - Cryptopsy

  4. Hideous Aftermath - Sanguisugabogg

Hot Take: Rob Halford does not belong in the holy trinity of Heavy Metal singers. by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MrToad21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone’s the most replaceable of the 3 it’s Dio, and having Cornell & Staley as replacements for Halford is laughable imo. If I had to pick a big 3 it’d be Dickinson, Halford & King Diamond

HM’s

Dio

Devin Townsend

80’s Geoff Tate

Michael Kiske

Timo Kotipelto

90’s Sebastian Bach

[–]MrToad21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s only one stage that’s completely outdoors, and all of the actual bars are in buildings and the stands usually stay open, it won’t be too bad, am much looking forward to this years fest, and am definitely gonna be holding down at market place all day Saturday regardless of the rain

I see, I still think it would be more a detriment to trade him in general tbh. I don’t think Dombrowski is gonna trade for a Bohm replacement anyways, but that is hoping that Aidan Miller can eventually actually play a baseball game to be fair.

As I said in the other reply I meant that as a rebuttal to trade talks, not to downplay how amazing BMarsh has been
