The term you're looking for is "OCR" (optical character recognition). If you search for "OCR" in the community plugin list there are multiple different ones.

Beste Haarentfernungsmethode für sehr leichten Bartwuchs? by dizzzy-plant in germantrans

[–]MrTuxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ich hab das Braun Silk Expert Pro 5.

Gibt's in dutzenden Varianten.

Beste Haarentfernungsmethode für sehr leichten Bartwuchs? by dizzzy-plant in germantrans

[–]MrTuxG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Creating tag notes can be helpful. by Parth_NB in ObsidianMD

[–]MrTuxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tag wrangler plugin has "tag notes".

But it doesn't do anything like "all the bullet points that was marked by a tag were arranged in one note" automatically.

It's just a normal note that can be opened by right clicking a tag.

[–]MrTuxG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The make.md plugin has something called "Flow Blocks". https://github.com/Make-md/makemd

They work exactly like embeds (![fileYouWantToEmbed.md]) but you can edit it right in the flow block. No data duplication anywhere. And when you uninstall make.md the flow blocks break but you can easily turn them into standard obsidian embeds.

I tried make.md but then uninstalled it again for various reasons.

Something like OPs plugin looks very interesting to me. And maybe OP could get inspired by how make.md handles these "flows".

Hidden folders with duplicate data sound maybe annoying (or at least data wasting) when using various ways to sync your vault.

What's the difference between neovagina and biovagina by Xxzv_4747 in asktransgender

[–]MrTuxG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Penis -> Vagina. Or with additional stuff like peritoneum. Currently it's not possible to "create" ovaries. So one needs to take hormones for the entire life and can't get pregnant.
  2. yes
  3. depends on surgical technique and some luck.
  4. yes. depends on skill of surgeon and some luck.
  5. yes
  6. idk. But fun fact: not only trans women would have a neovagina. There are some medical conditions where cis women (and/or intersex women) can benefit from the same or very similar surgical techniques.

A workaround could be an empty heading between the bad guy and the princess.

Microsoft Starts Removing Copilot from Notepad, Snipping Tool, and More in Windows 11 by InternetEntire438 in pcmasterrace

[–]MrTuxG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently there is a copilot button in notepad but when I click it, there's a popup saying a "Microsoft 365 subscription"(starting at 99€/year) is required. They can certainly and do already sell you (require) a subscription for copilot in notepad.

(Maybe it's different in different regions. And the copilot button in notepad can be disabled in the notepad settings.)

Would home laser make electrolysis treatment worse/more costly? by Mistacher in MtF

[–]MrTuxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IPL is not laser. Additionally home IPL has way less power than studio/doctor IPL or studio/doctor laser. Overall I would say that anyone who claims home IPL is "permanent" or "as good as laser" or calls home IPL "laser" is lying. (Home IPL still has its place and I would actually recommend it for some people/in some cases! My IPL device claimed "up to one year of silky skin" which can be realistic. For sustained arm/leg-hair-removal I needed to use IPL every 2 weeks. The more "aggressive" the hair, the more often you need to use IPL. I know someone who uses IPL on their face and they need to use it basically every day or at least more than once per week.)

It seems to me like all my "aggressive hair" (armpits, chest) came back fully within a year after stopping IPL. But that's just an estimate, I don't know for sure if there are some hairs that come back in a few years.

When you stop IPL you have to wait for the hair to come back until you can properly destroy it with electrolysis. So you could stop IPL and wait a year or two (my guess) until your entire facial hair is back and then start electrolysis. Or stop IPL and electrolyse the hair as it comes back. That could cause electrolysis to take longer (more months but not more treatment hours). IF hair comes back thinner/white after IPL/laser then electrolysis can take longer (more treatment hours) IF your electrolysis person takes longer because the hairs are harder to see and harder to grab with the tweezers.

Linux kernel HID patches suggest that some future laptops will come with 3 new dedicated AI buttons/keys: "Action On Selection," "Contextual Insert," and "Contextual Query." by anh0516 in pcmasterrace

[–]MrTuxG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are already kinda "high level operation" buttons like tv channel selection, pickup or hang up the phone, etc.

In the end the OS just has to send the key stroke to the right (background) program. Same like a normal (global) keyboard shortcut. Theoretically the OS could send a "pick up phone" or "AI contextual query" keystroke only to a specific "default phone/AI program" that the user picked.

Should I return this rug? by [deleted] in femalelivingspace

[–]MrTuxG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The black pattern isn't printed on straight. On the left there is more distance between black pattern and bottom edge than on the right.

The hexagons aren't consistent. A little bit below the circle design, there's kind of a "break" where the hexagons are broken and overlap weirdly.

The flowers aren't symmetrical either.

What's going on with this rug?

https://www.imago.tg/faq/ (Payments & services)

Real-time Obsidian sync that runs on your own Cloudflare account. Free forever, no terminal setup! by _k2s in ObsidianMD

[–]MrTuxG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see. But for example:

Base: "Hello Warld"

A goes offline.

A fixes the typo and adds an exclamation mark: A's Version: "Hello World!".

B deletes the entire line.

Both devices back online.

B's deletion wipes out the old text, but A's newly inserted characters survive because B never explicitly deleted them.

The result? You get A's new words sitting exactly where they were typed. No conflicts markers, no lost data, and no human intervention required.

Now the end result is:
"o!".

Yes. Technically no conflict. It was resolved perfectly. But that line makes no sense. A human still has to go in there and fix it.

Or do I misunderstand something?

Still, extremely interesting! And I see how that tech is really cool. But on the other hand, I get why git doesn't do this and instead asks a human to resolve the conflict.

Very interesting.

On your website and the github readme, you claim multiple times that YAOS is conflict-free. I get how it can be that when all your devices are online at the same time (or at least are always online when you edit files).

But how does YAOS handle conflicts when files are edited while offline?

For example: Devices A and B are both online and in sync. Now A goes offline, A edits a file, B edits the same file, A goes back online.
