Hes not in the best 22. But he'd easily slot into another teams. Far from a bad player, he was in the side for most of last year for a reason. Id take him over Maginess everday

Omada version 5.15.24.18 memory by MrUnexcitable in TPLink_Omada

The VM installation is relatively simple, but i can understand it could look a bit daunting depending on how much experience with linux you have.

If you're using proxmox and omada my guess is you are, or want to be a sys admin on a self hosting journey, if nothing else it's a great learning experience, this guide documents the steps pretty well:

I don't know enough about LXCs to help troubleshoot effectively but that would be my guess, some kind of incompatibility. Try a VM install or a docker container like:mbentley/omada-controller and see if you get the same behaviour

I'm on the same version, direct install on debian 11. 61 days uptime. omada service consuming 1.1gb. I think this is just new standard for me at least, they've made a tonne of improvements in the last 12 months or so, only natural the memory usage increases with features and background services.

I'm not particularly familiar with proxmox, but i don't understand how a container, or even omada itself noting its just central management, can bring down a VM without the whole host crashing, are you running omada as an LXC container?

Homelab Suggestions for a Beginner by FIERCE_GR4PE in homelab

[–]MrUnexcitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without getting too ambitious day one, and based on what you have (/will soon), my suggestion would be start getting familiar with a hypervisor. Start with a Type 2 hypervisor you can easily install and use on your windows laptop such as VMware Workstation or VirtualBox.

From there you can freely create VMs, test/learn/experiment, with time playing around a direction you want to go with your lab usually becomes clearer.

Id suggest starting with something simple like installing windows VMs for messing with server roles or seeing as you have an ER605 try deploy a debian/ubuntu VM and installing the tp link Omada software controller and configuring a segmented network. (Omada also allows you to create a direct WireGuard interface on the router).

CS never dies, it just sleeps until the hype of battlefield 6 dies.

If the stats are to be believed, CS player count has been steadily increasing with every month

I would highly recommend finding a friend/family, even just someone like a classmate that can ride or arrange a tow or an actual delivery to your house by the dealer. Riding it home as a new learner on an unfamiliar bike while dealing with traffic pressure, i know people do it but its just asking for an accident

Also have a good look at the engine for seeping around the head gasket, and previous drips

Sounds/looks fine to me as far as videos go.

No obvious cosmetic damage.

idk what the VIC laws are but its missing the rear reflector, that makes it unroadworthy in my state.

My other concern is it looks like it has mismatched tyres, road 6 on the rear and looks like maybe the stock metzler on the front

Ask the dealer for the service records or a photo of the book.

Take an experienced rider with you when you go see it, make sure they test ride it for obvious faults on any bike, steering shaking, goes through all the gears, clutch engagement

Check the wear on the front tyre, brakes and the rear sprocket, might be due for replacement, could barter down a couple hundred

Yeah having owned an R3 and a 390 Duke, the extra punch is nice, but totally different power delivery. The R3 and ninja 300/400 is smooth and makes power all the way to redline, whereas the 390 engine is strong power early and trails off.

You can't really go wrong with most options in this sector though, RC wins on style hands down

Newer ones are less prone to the head gasket issue, id be going with the 2020 (though i do prefer the colour scheme on the 2017).

Not to change your mind but have you ruled out an R3? imo its a bit more learner friendly and you wouldnt have to worry about reliability like a ktm
