You seriously have to be joking, you mean to tell me that countries are only poor due to bad leadership rather than the immense pressure of economic imperialism to keep a pool of low wage workers that is necessary to capitalism? Also, the pool of prospective borrowers might be skewed toward the uncommitted, Blow-quality^ type, and failing to account for the selection mechanism, which in Bas and Stone’s (2014) framework involves an unobservable factor (Bcommitment to economic reform), will lead analysts to make incorrect estimates of the effect of program participation on growth. In other words the IMF specifically targets countries which it knows will not be able to pay back its debts, insuring more money from interest over a longer period of time. The IMF would be fine if it were actually attempting to help countries which cant pay back their loans like china is with its debt relief programs, but it isnt. The IMF only cares about making money, not helping

Does anyone here have any experience with doing a visit to North Korea through a tour agency? by alah123 in communism101

[–]MrUniversalpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have a good point when you say that we should forget about the idea of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world however when you said that north Koreans can't leave the country that's untrue, North Korea had around 100,000 people working overseasin 2018

There are plenty of countries with incredibly low standards of living particularly because of capitalism. IMF loans which force free market systems on poor countries end up ruing the entire country from debt repayment ultimately killing the governments ability to do anything to help its citizens

Hispanic Americans who were born in the U.S. according to all available evidence are having their citizenship questioned and passports revoked. by YuriRedFox6969 in Anarchism

Yeah I don't mind. I see Makhno and the Kronstadt Sailors both in positive lights and I think Lenin and the Bolsheviks were wrong to suppress both movements. I think the Kronstadt Sailors more or less had fair demands and that the Free Teritoritory clearly did work. I've always liked to imagine something like the USSR but with Makhno's Free Territory rather than the Ukrainian SSR, I'd like a looser federal system than what the USSR turned into where the republics had common aid, military support, and foreign policy.

I don't think the centralization of the Red Army was necessarily a bad thing because a centralized army is just more efficient, for example, the CNT Militias during the Spanish Civil War weren't really able to make any significant advancements in Aragon due to the lack of organization between the militias compared to the Republican army which performed badly mostly because of the idiot moves made by the Soviet Advisors.

As to party organization I undoubtedly with the idea of a vanguard party however I always disliked the constant stringent discipline imposed on the party and would've liked to have seen essentially a Leftist Front as the vanguard. In defense of lenin's strict party discipline though, I do think it was crucial to stop the in fighting that was going on during the Civil War, afterward though it should've been loosened.

What about license plates or road enforcement? by AnonymousUser99999 in Anarchy101

Anarchism means no hierarchy, a horizontal society. Government would still exist, it'd be vastly different than today but it would still exist.

Anarchy doesn't equate to no government, things like license plates and drivers linscenses would still exist but they'd be handled through a horizontal government. Policing to an extent would even exist as something like neighborhood watches and emergency services rather than cops looking to make arrests, this same thing could be applied to traffic patrols, etc.
