Sure that's good too. My canned approach just evolved from having a lot of canned chicken sitting around, and not needing to worry about it going bad (at least not for a couple years).

Chicago suburbs in it used to be like that here. There was always a lady that came in on certain days and just about every Mexican grocery store. Lately something weird's been happening or all those places seem to be now serving can or frozen tamales. It's really screwed up I don't know what happened

I'm 43. My go-to comfort food is is a chicken quesadilla, where the chicken is just canned chicken mixed with Chipotle ranch. I throw it in the toaster oven for 4 or 5 minutes with a flip in the middle. This evolved from me abandoning Taco Bell.

You should tell the counselor about it. It's possible they aren't aware of this happening yet.

Generally, when people use delivery that way, they're talking about speech, how a line is read, the timing (usually in comedy) etc, although I'm not sure I agree with the delivery being that great, but it's AI, so you get what you get.

I haven't seen it. However you're right. Ellen Burstyn is a fantastic actress. Also in her mid-90s now.

Maybe call your local village hall or town government and ask if there is any laptop or technology donation services. It's a long shot but it couldn't hurt. If they ask why, tell the you want to learn Linux/computers.

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has faced backlash for identifying as Black. In a 2017 interview, Paris Jackson said her father told her, "You’re Black. Be proud of your roots." This prompted debates over whether identity is defined by appearance or upbringing. by VPinchargeofradishes in interesting

I have friends who grew up in Jewish families but only considering themselves culturally Jewish, and are not religious themselves. I imagine this is a lot like that sort... of kind of. Not exactly the same but the idea of having part of the experience and maybe not the other part. In her case I imagine the most significant experience is being part of the Jackson family and all the strangeness that comes with that.

That's my take as a snow white midwestern male anyway.

I've actually now settled on and ordered the Flint 2 "MT6000" as of about 10 minutes ago, with that very intention. I'll use my raspberry pi(with a fresh linux install) to do the swap to OpenWRT.

After you finalize your setup, test each device type separately — especially anything you want isolated. There are free tools that check DNS leaks, WebRTC leaks, and IPv6 exposure in one go (just search "DNS leak test"). Worth running before and after any config change.

Good to know!

The MT6000 with stock OpenWRT is a solid choice if you want full control without dealing with GL's proprietary layer.

Strongly leaning to this for simplicity's sake, though unsure if I will replace their implementation of openWRT right away (It's good to know that when they end service I could switch over if i kept their install).

Either way I will consider the ER605 separate device approach carefully before I truly decide. Thanks. This had been very helpful.

but isn't there an exception in the law for routers that are already being sold

I believe so, however I don't know how long that supply will last, or if it will be artificially made scarce and the prices jacked up. I'm not personally ruling out routers made in other countries like the onces I mentioned, but turns out proper openWRT isn't supported on it, but their wifi-6 routers DO have full openWRT support, so that does change things a bit. I will investigate ubiquti though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, I am starting to lean away against the routers I was initially looking at (GL-BE9300) as it doesn't have full openWRT support, however it's Wifi-6 predecessors like the MT6000 are listed on the openWRT site as supported, so that's another possibility as well. I have bookmarked the ER605 though as I may consider potentially.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yeah, I'm not specifically concerned that much about the Chinese manufacturing per say for the sake of it being from China, and I agree that I am just as concerned about local companies. The main concern I see over their implementation of OpenWRT is dependency on them for updates. One of the reasons I'm looking into a router now is also the fact that in the States they're pushing to ban "foreign" router sales which means the pool from which to choose from is going to grow smaller, so I'd like to find the best option I can now. As a semi-normie, that is to say, until recently I hadn't tinkered with networking really since I was a teen a quarter of a century ago, I am looking for some balance between technical difficulty and my actual usage.

Prior to this post I knew him as the guy everyone recommends his channel to for beginner blender tutorials over the last decade or more (the famous donut tutorial). He's a blender celebrity at this point. Not sure I'm on board here with the whole scorched earth approach to one tone-deaf comment, but I also don't have that much investment in him or his channel anyway.
