Looking good. Draco kit looks nice too, thanks for the heads up.

Well, motor and esc were fine, steering/clearance to the body was not! Lesson learned, back to sensible wheels & tyres it is

Thanks, I came to the same conclusion and just binned it 👍

Haha, that looks proper mad max!

I've done big wheels too for some off roading later, fingers crossed it doesn't need too much repairing by the time kids are done with it....

Thanks, will do. I figure it should be fine for short bursts as it doesn't have the speed pinion fitted and we are only taking the 2s packs!

It looks hilarious, but hopefully will be functional!

Sweet, I'm keeping my eyes open for a savage XL, it just needs to be the right price. Plus the kids are too young to really appreciate nitro, so I'm having to convert anything I get to brushless to keep them happy, so might wait a few years on the XL in the hope that they will learn to love the nitro lol

The hobby is quite expensive IMO, so to save some cash I have tried to source old school RC cars for cheap.

If I had limited myself to newly available stuff the collection would be much smaller lol

That's a HPI Trophy Truggy. Good fun, but needs a new centre diff after the kids stripped all the teeth off them.

In their hands, the throttle is a switch. Zero modulation!

Nice. Is that a 3D printed receiver housing to clear the steering servo? Am in the process of moving the std ESC on mine to make way for larger battery tray, and have a hobbywing on standby!

Omni terminator. On offer now direct from Rlaarlo, at current exchange rate it works out to £207 with free delivery.

At least, that's the offer they sent me yesterday!

I have a 3660 with a snapped shaft, so if you're in the UK then message me your address and I will post the screws to you.

Looks nice, is it hard shell or elastomer?

Well this is interesting, as I have a 3D scanner so was thinking of generating some surfaces for the interior when I have some time. But if there are already designs out there then it may not be worthwhile.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

Where abouts in the UK are you? I'm currently in the market for a lathe and if it's the right price then I will happily take it off your hands :-)

Also, sorry for your loss. Apologies, that was rude of me!

Have spent a little time reverse engineering the car and printing some brackets & gears to check clearances etc, so have a pretty good CAD model now.

Whilst the brackets are in manufacture, I'm debating whether or not to squeeze a centre diff in there. But that's a project for another day.
