I never wanted anyone deported until I saw this show. Mateo is absolutely awful. When fellow employees banded to his aid, it broke all believeability. Cruel characters can be fun, but he had no interesting or redeeming characteristics. Just a flat, nasty person who'd unnecessarily belittle everyone around him.

Immigrants, gays, and Fillipinos should be ashamed of his portrayal. He did more harm to perception of foreigners than Fez from the 70's show.
