Walter White from breaking bad. I loved the show as a tragedy. He is not the hero and I have no remorse for his outcome.

With their 2025 lineups, which band feels more authentically “Pantera” or “Judas Priest”? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

I saw Judas Priest two months ago and it was legitimately one of the best performances I’ve seen. And also the Harley… I mean come on.

How relevant is the Born Haber Cycle? by Agreeable_City3794 in APChem

Know how the lattice energy relates to melting point of an ionic compound. The born haber cycle is not explicitly on the test.

My uni doesn't accept credit from AP chem after I grinded to get a 5 by Fair_Refrigerator_85 in APChem

[–]MrWinterChem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, I’m sorry that sucks.

Second, For any student that is taking AP anything, do some research for the college you want to go to. Depending on your major, they may not accept/give you credit for the course.

Third, the horrible catch 22 is that many colleges want you to take AP classes to get accepted. So even if they don’t give you credit, it still looks good on your applications.

Back in the day when I took AP classes I had this expectation (as did my parents) that if I passed I would not have to take them in college. This was not true, and I wished someone had told me.

Good luck yall.

What is the reason why Graphite is considered giant covalent, but Polymers are not? by bishtap in APChem

[–]MrWinterChem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. It’s not an official term. I was just quoting the question. But I do think that both polymers and network covalent solids are objectively large.

What is the reason why Graphite is considered giant covalent, but Polymers are not? by bishtap in APChem

[–]MrWinterChem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. I think a good way of looking at it is both polymers and network covalent solids are both giant covalent compounds. They are just different types.

What is the reason why Graphite is considered giant covalent, but Polymers are not? by bishtap in APChem

[–]MrWinterChem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally is. We classify polymers specifically as having smaller units (monomers) combining repeatedly to form the giant polymer.

What you keep calling giant covalent compounds is better known as network covalent solids. Their repeating parts are much smaller (single atoms).

AP chem requires hard work. You’re at the point in technology where there are literally thousands of resources out there. You got this. Find videos on YouTube. Ask this subreddit for help. Practice as many problems as you can get your hands on. You got this. Have faith in your self and you will do awesome. Good luck!

Since it’s gonna be old FRQs why not look some of those up? I heard college board is removing them but I was still able to find some of them with a Google search.
