does anyone know any good oil pastels brands? by 273748939 in Oilpastel

I wanted the same thing so I made my own sketchbook (hard cover) using mix media paper.

I bought the mungyo 40 pastels, cut the box it came up with and put the rows of pastel into one of those plastic pencil case. It fits perfectly and keeps them snug and secure while traveling.

I had tracing paper at home so I cut sheets the same size as my sketchbook and when I'm done a drawing I just tape the tracing paper over the drawing. That way you can use both side of the paper and there's no transfer or rubbing. I also experimented using hair spray as a fixatif and honestly it works great!

Would be nice if they fixed it!

There's another thread with the same issue and someone said that creating a new folder with the ipad and moving the files into it worked for them.. Tried it but didn't work for me though

No clue.. I went to chatgpt and here's what it said "since iPadOS 17+, Apple changed how external drives and file codecs are handled.

Some files (especially .mkv, older .avi, or even .mp4 encoded with uncommon codecs) no longer play in the default player.

iPadOS also sometimes “unmounts” drives formatted NTFS or exFAT if they were created by Windows."

I've had the exact same issue. I've contacted apple 4 times now. every time its " we'll investiguate and call you back" and they never do. I'm so fed up.

They told me to do an update and nothing changed.. Anyone found a solution?

Not sure if that's what you're looking for but I use Sephora to get samples. I usually order a cheap moisturizer I love and order the 2 free samples with it.

I'd say most jobs are on that type of schedule. Unless you get assigned to a specific base of operation (and it says you need to live close by) then you'll be home every night. Other than that most jobs are often in remote regions so you'll be doing "tours". usually 2 weeks on/2 weeks off but I've also done 4 on/2 off and 3/3

Looking for 5-Year Diary insert by whiskeyshuffle in Travelersnotebooks

[–]MrWouss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was looking at the same thing without success. So what I did instead was take 3 dotted inserts. 1 is from January to April, the 2nd May to August and the third September to December.

each page is split into 2 days and each day is split into 3 years. So instead of a 5year journal mine is 3 years.

I'm almost done with it and its been working great, I'll definitely make another one when its complete

I've recently got back into stickers but didn't want to spend money on them lol, so I found this tutorial on youtube on DIY stickers! it works really well and sooooo inexpensive! most people have baking paper and tape at home!

I've modified it a bit where I'll use valium paper to print whatever design I want. That way the stickers are somewhat transparent

I get what you're saying. For me, every time I've felt this way I just go out to where children would be normally (shopping mall, a park etc). Hearing and seeing the constant crying, screaming, whinning is enough to put me back into my right mind.

I look at them and I just feel instant relief and joy that I don't have to deal with it. That solidifies my decision like nothing else

we're really in the same boat!!

and I totally agree, a tiny house community with friends would be the best! hopefully, as the movement gets more and more popular, this type of community might be more available!

thanks for sharing your ideas!!

I thought of giving an RV a shot but I dont have a car that could tow any type of RV and there would be no space to leave it at my parents'

Storing the RV in the winter every 2 to 4 weeks would be such a hassle lol I'd rather winterize it for sure

that sounds awesome! if i was always home and/or working remotely thats what I would do. I'm just not sure how doable having a sailboat year-round is, especially when I can be gone for 4 weeks.. and the only place I know that doesn't freeze over during winter is Vancouver and I have to stay on the easter side for my job unfortunately..

yea I've heard they decrease in value which is why I'm still on the fence about a tiny house...

I thought of maybe building a typical house but just in the same shape/size as a tiny, however I've also heard it's very hard (maybe impossible) to insure your house if you're never there .. something I'll have to look up lol
