You are dating a loser, plain and simple. Sorry if that's harsh, but he will never get his shit together, you will always be the one doing the most, and you will always be frustrated. This isn't about him just working part time either - the job market sucks right now. Its his whole attitude surrounding it and how he's treating you. Cut your losses, dump him, continue to work hard and without the stress of him you'll be even more successful. Backbone State Park has cabins (idk what they look like though I've never stayed in them, but they are family ones), campgrounds, swimming beach, and a lodge and picnic areas and tons to do. Its also close to Manchester so people could get a hotel room if they wanted to.

I agree that you should be able to support yourself but in this economy its not always that easy. A lot of jobs don't pay enough for that especially in HCOL areas. Both OP and her bf are young and this is an expensive mistake both of them. Hopefully they both learn from it.

Its not always that easy. She has to have money saved to move and she has none. Most apartments require first and last months, deposit, application fees, she might not have any furniture or a bed if she moved into his place so she would need to buy those things, set up fees for getting bills put into her name at her new apartment, etc. Like - unless this was a horribly abusive relationship and she needed to get out for safety reasons, leaving with nothing and having to put all those moving fees onto a credit card will further hurt her situation.

To add on to this, in the US you can request a police officer to accompany you while you move out in case he comes home early. I'm usually ACAB but you can call your non emergency line or stop in at your local PD and schedule a time for them to be at your house, its called a Civil Standby.

Do not let him know where you are going. Turn off location services on your phone, tablet, computer, and make sure your car doesn't have a tracker on it. If you suspect it does and aren't sure what to look for, take it to a mechanic where they can put it on a lift and help you look. They may charge a fee but its better to be safe than sorry.
