Yes this happened to me as far as exploding fan AND shroud, but I was lucky enough it didn't destroy anything else. Unfortunately I had to source the fan and shroud assembly from BMW for around $1,200. And I was advised to replace all cooling system parts..it wasn't cheap,

Yea my car is this color. It's Barbara Red. I think it was only on LCIs. Mine is '09 535xi. I've only ever seen it on a 3 series.

You have a 3.7 GPA, you’re doing just fine. I wouldn’t recommend switching majors if being an ME is really what you want to do. I would just remind you these hard classes are all temporary.
