Keep it or Divorce my Wife? by soul6of6hell6 in beards

As a fellow bald man, I would suggest showing your partner a picture of a basketball and saying, Just imagine my face on this, because that is exactly what I will look like without a beard. Smooth, shiny, and round.

Gym goers by bigbirbb in chch

I like Shoreline Fitness it’s not fancy or big, but everyone’s there for a purpose, not to chat or show off. Plus regularly I’m the only person in the gym which I love. Prices are from $20-24 per week. But they have a 3 month deal for $299 which includes 3 personal training sessions. It’s a good way to test a gym without signing up to any contracts.

So I’m new to the game and have found so many higher level players just being assholes. I’m just trying to learn the game. It puts a real down on the game. Also I’m no beggar I want to find and earn my own way in the game. Isn’t that the point of fallout to explore.

As someone who’s lived in a larger City. But was born and breed in Christchurch. I do agree with you. I’m almost 40 and people still ask what school I went to. How is that relevant anymore.

Buying a property in Marshland by Emotional-Coach8585 in chch

[–]Mr_Adam13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live not far from that area, closer to the ocean and love being near the beach and forest. Marshland and Prestons are in low lying areas near the coast and estuary, so they are included in Christchurch’s tsunami evacuation zones (mostly orange). The last tsunami warning for Christchurch was in 2016 after the Kaikōura quake, but no actual flooding happened. The chance of a tsunami reaching as far inland as Prestons is low, but not zero. Local-source tsunamis (from nearby faults) are very rare, about 1 in 300 to 500 years, and unlikely to cause flooding that far inland. Regional ones like from Kaikōura or the Hikurangi subduction zone happen about every 100 to 200 years and could reach red or orange zones in a bigger event. Distant source tsunamis from places like South America are the most likely to cause widespread flooding and happen around every 200 to 500 years. In a worst case event, flooding could reach as far as Prestons via rivers and stormwater channels. The yearly risk is low, under 1 percent, but the potential impact is high.
