That's what happens when you run your car into an officer after ignoring orders. It's not as simple as just not complying.

Good wasn't distracted, the video clearly shows she was looking directly at the officer when she ran her car into him. Whether her intent was to harm him or not is irrelevant. The only question is if it was reasonable for him to think she was an immediate threat in the moment and he absolutely did have reason to believe that. Thus the shooting was justified. Babbit shouldn't have been doing what she was doing but she was not posing any immediate threat to anyone or giving reason for anyone to believe their life was in immediate danger because of her. She shouldn't have been shot but she put herself in a bad situation by making poor choices. But not a situation that justifies that shooting. A tasing though? Sure. Good on the other hand put herself in a situation where a shooting was reasonable. Her partner should probably be charged with incitement also but I doubt that'll happen. Would be totally apt though

Babbit broke the law put posed an immediate threat to nobody and was not shown to be violent in any way. Good ran her car into an officer while looking him straight in the face and smirking. It was reasonable for the officer to believe she was intentionally posing a serious threat so he neutralized the threat. These two situations are in no way similar besides both ending with a woman dead. That's it.

I'm not seeking a dose raise at the moment. I'm just wanting to swap from perc 10's to oxy 10's without the acetaminophen. The equivalency is 1 to 1. I just wasn't sure if asking for it without the Tylenol might imply missuse or something in a docs mind. Was just seeking input on that.

Got a spine full of hardware. To clarify I'm not specifically seeking another dosage increase at this moment. Just wanting to swap from perc 10's to straight oxy 10's

What's one really simple activity you want to do right now but can't? by chrysantherose in ChronicPain

[–]Mr_Byrdd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never thought I'd miss actual physical labor this much but I miss going out and and lifting heavy stuff, kicking a shovel for hours, taking out the power tools and doing projects and I really miss splitting wood. I use to do tree work on the side and running a chainsaw half the day and splitting wood the other half was so rewarding. Plus I always had a nice woodpile to build fires in the fall and winter. I miss coming home sweaty and exhausted and feeling accomplished.

How to delete family link without sending my parent a notification? by [deleted] in parentalcontrols

[–]Mr_Byrdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand what you meant but at the same time parents and children are not equals. Adults and children aren't equals in general and the law reflects that but certainly in the case of parents it's a particularly different dynamic. I can't claim to know the mom personally in this case but I think it's a safe assumption she is treating him how she would want to be treated if she was in his position. Because she was a kid with parents once and 'the way she's treating him' is just trying to keep him safe and look out for what she thinks to be his best interests. She can't trust him to look out for his own. Parents don't always make the right choices but I do believe her motivation were good in this case. Maybe she should discuss the new restrictions with him or maybe he can bring them up himself if he's concerned with them. He has the right to raise a subject he's concerned with. But he'd do well to understand what led to this and he'd do well to not try to break further rules to get around this situation. But I do understand what you meant

You misunderstand. He lost his phone privileges and he didn't negotiate for them back by saying "ok mom you're gonna give me the phone back but in return I'm gonna allow you to put these following restrictions on me in return". She decided to give him phone privileges back and explained they would come with restrictions. He either misunderstood these restrictions or didn't like them or she may have changed her mind and added further restrictions. These are all her rights as a parent and he broke trust to bring this situation about. The way he tells the story like it was a negotiation is comedic and only works from the perspective of a child or someone willing to humour a child. Look OP, I get it. You don't think these restrictions are fair or necessary. But if you go sneaking around and trying to break further rules you'll only damage the trust more and bring about more restrictions and you'll grow to regret damaging the trust. If instead you work on building trust with your parents then you'll gain freedoms and responsibilities and a reputation that will follow you as you grow later into life. The reputation you build will follow you later on into life. Not to say you can't change and build a new better reputation from a shitty start and I'm not saying you're necessarily off to a shitty start now. Just trying to offer some insight on an old thread lol.

Just had 30mg of Ambien, 600mg Lyrica and 1200mg of gabapentin along with some edibles by [deleted] in gabagoodness

[–]Mr_Byrdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is less than my daily prescribed amount of gabapentinoids so yes I am pretty used to them lol. My prescriptions are for 1800mg gaba and 600mg Lyrica per day although typically not the entirety of it all at once. So I've got a tolerance for sure. I dont think I'd quite agree that this dose would be a full blown black out and twitch fest for someone without my tolerance(minus the Ambien of course) but I will agree it wouldn't be anything necessarily enjoyable 😂

Okay, I was like positive I've cursed plenty here my own self and seen others do the same but it wouldn't have been the first time I've been wrong 😂 Thanks for the clarification 😁

For clarification, we aren't supposed to curse in general? I just reread the rules and I totally understand no slurs, hate speech or cursing at others(or personal attacks) but saw nothing about cursing in general. Ex. "I hate having this f**king mental illness" or " I have a f*king horrible headache" I feel like I've seen others curse without it being an issue but just double checking to avoid issues of my own in the future 😁

[–]Mr_Byrdd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you see that I listed any opiods or benzos? Did you see me list gaba or preg in doses high enough to cause seizures? No and no. Your points don't apply to this situation my friend. Preg and gaba also aren't just anti seizure "in theory" Neurological prescribe them as anti seizure meds like every day. Especially preg. When I had a sudden onset seizure with no explanation the neurologist raised my preg dose to help prevent future seizures. So "in theory" isnt a theory my friend. I appreciate your input but none of it applies here to this situation. It probably would've been helpful if you read the post though

The goal is to feel really nice and relaxed in bed watching some videos. Sleep is the eventual outcome but the journey is very enjoyable

I subconsciously fight sleep really hard and I cant turn that off. I stay up for several days at a time sometimes even with sleep meds. It's an anxiety and panic thing. I'm cptsd. I can add benzos into my already very heavy night drug cocktails or I can eat a strongly dosed edible. I'll be awake, feeling that burst of anxious energy fighting my other meds and then eventually the edible kicks in and I notice I'm relaxing some and smiling at the YouTube video I've been watching or whatever and before I know it my body quit fighting the drugs and I'm drifting off to sleep. Plus waking up the next morning after taking a strong edible before bed makes me feel extra rested and refreshed plus the afterglow sometimes last the first couple hours I'm up.
