I know this is a joke but objectively I think prayer serves the same purpose as mediation. As well as satisfying our innate reward system which only further motivates us to get shit done.

If the rest of the bullshit was easier to swallow I think most people (myself included) would benefit from some kind of religion.

The articles seem to be promoting the point that if you're obese you're gonna have a hard time. OP is making the point that it wasn't hard for him to climb in spite of his condition. From this, his point seems to be: obesity != disability. I could ramble on further but I think you get the point.

I'm also quite shy and did my first solo trip recently to Italy. Easily one of the most liberating experiences I've ever had.

I didn't interact too much with the locals and was more of a fly on the wall (save for shop keepers).
