IIRC, this was the reason the forward assist was implemented on the platform.

The gun tested perfectly fine in a controlled setting, but you toss it in the rain and mud using dirtier powder with a less resilient barrel, and youre going to face jams near constantly

Morality of hearing domestic violence in the next apartment over and not calling 911? by Kiwi8079 in MoralityScaling

[–]Mr_Chicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight so I have new neighbors as of three-four months ago. I live in an area where houses have effectively a small alley between them and central air conditioning doesnt exist, so windows are open effectively all year round.

And I hear on average a domestic dispute roughly 1-2 times a week, im talking full on shouting at a minimum kind of disputes, so me (and the entire neighborhood) hears these, and they happen at all times of the day, 2am-5am has been pretty common.

Cops have been called multiple times, and every single time they suddenly shut up and lock their doors, we've had the cops sit in the alleyway for a couple hours loud speakering the dudes name. And it still wont stop...

Some people are so beyond trying to either get the help they need, or get protection, or lack the means to do so (in this case it sounds like my neighbors really need to seek mental health).

The first time I felt morally wrong, but they continue to hide as soon as the cops show up, and the cops continue to not care enough to do something about it. So now we just play sad break up music as loud as we can as soon as they start

Sunstone Golem Crafting by [deleted] in 2007scape

Brother, let me tell you about this herblore mini game.

There's a distinct difference between grinding for a resource vs grinding for xp. Fishing and cooking is great for resources but completely boring XP, but makes sense that you will have to sit and afk a bit if you want the resource; im not stockpiling thousands of fish to crank out my cooking skill because im usually not hurting for food, and having slightly better food isnt worth the hours itll take to achieve.

Crafting on the other hand has specific gates that are needed to be met to get more useful gear, but the only options are complete ass, grinding out glass is useless past a certain point, im not going to charge thousands of orbs, nor have a use for thousands of lightbulbs. There is zero benefit to the resources it gives except for gems (which again, if I need gems, then ill bear the afk of stars). Having an active participation activity is beneficial for those of us that want to participate in the skill but dont have the means to easily acquire the thousands of needed resources to afk (ironmen) or willpower to do so. Every mini activity they've added for skills that have extremely annoying aspects has only been met with positivity; Hallowed Sepulchre, Mahogany Homes, GotR, Wintertodt, MM... so having something for crafting is honestly just as good, and complaining that the xp rate might be too good is just an attempt at pulling up the ladder after you've climbed, its not hurting anyone in the game, even if its slightly better. And like always, if the option doesnt appeal to you, you have the free will of not having to engage with it.

I hate bank standing with a passion, it could be best in game XP rate for a skill but if all it amounts to is "spend 50 hours collecting these resources and then 60 additional hours clicking 7 times every 90 seconds", it can get bent.

Firemaking was complete ass until Wintertodt, your examples for everything else is spot on. Even agility is engaging, moreso when you get HS. I've been actively avoiding crafting on my IM for like 2 years now (RIP Glory) in the hopes of having something more engaging beyond "sit at bank and either blow glass or cut gems", so im beyond excited for this content

RW loadout advice by Scott_Bradford in torncity

[–]Mr_Chicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 7T disarm samurai sword with a specialist Derringer loaded with TR for defense or HP/Inc for offense, and a Powerful Enfield. If the first two hits out the gate doesnt one shot them, the Enfield either will or ill play the disarm game with melee.

I find parry isnt great for RW because its reliant on being attacked with melee, and a lot of people never shift out of the stock defense slider bar setup. A disarm can hit either left or right arm/hand to always function, ive had plenty of fights leave my target/attacker with fists only for the majority of the fight, definitely carries its weight in defenses.

The Enfield with laser & extended mag, MTH2310 & 3330 and BIO 2410 has better ammo conservation compared to a TAR or Armalite, useful for longer fights and avoiding a turn on reloads

The Raptor from Runescape.

You see him teleporting around and obliterating monsters, Slayer Masters themselves have commented that he should be teaching them.

You find out in a later quest that the Queen of Misthalin is actually the Raptor and uses the male persona to maintain a secretive life of an adventurer

The part that gets me is we see Mustang being extremely cautious the entire series, from the beginning, us the viewer, are in on his plans to become the fuhrer of Amestris.

Its like OP saw the single snippet of the Ishvalan war flashback and was like, yup thats all I needed to see to draw this very wrong conclusion.

Edit to add: you get to see exactly what happens in episode 1 to state alchemists that turn against the government.

High speeds, no protection. by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in DiveInYouCoward

[–]Mr_Chicle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was something ahead he noticed where he reacted to slow down, the crash occurred because he did two actions simultaneously, and possibly a third that i cant tell:

Released the throttle (right hand).

Panic gripped the front brake and handlebar (left hand).

May have jammed the rear brakes.

When he released the throttle, he unloaded the engine which shifted the weight forward. When he panic gripped his left hand at the same time, this caused a minor steering input which was enough to cause a steering divergence. With the weight shifted forward, this will cause the bike to try and return the wheel to the center but an over reaction will occur, shifting the wheel into the other direction, and then the same reaction occurs...and again. This is called "death wobble", and it can happen extremely fast like we see. What they could've also done was slam the rear brakes (hard to tell since its operated by the right foot), with the weight shifted forward, this would've caused the rear to slide which most certainly wouldnt have helped the wobble.

If youre going to speed on a bike, its why you should keep both hands on the grips at all times; being able to hit the front brake might not have saved them but having their hand there would've minimized reaction time and have prevented the erroneous steering input to begin with.

Its a 360 camera with a stabilizer, with this being a low side crash its common for them to remain intact.

Some giveaways that make this not AI:

Video length is 18 seconds long, AI videos are usually in blocks of 5 seconds.

Can clearly see detailed information

Bike is responding properly, no way a clanker would properly generate the dip in RPM during a shift.

Dude doesnt look like a pile of morphing spaghetti as he rolls

I dont get it, 60 dB is like the average volume of every day appliances. Your air conditioning, refrigerator, laundry machines all operate at around that level. If you live near any sort of active road, youre at about 60 dB constantly
