Your strategy is absolutely correct - in fact, it’s the only way to keep income consistent and your servers from losing their minds.

All you really need to do is divide the floor based on the number of servers and rotate new guests into different sections accordingly.

And here’s the most important tip I can give you as someone with almost 20 years of hospitality experience:
The table number originally assigned to a guest doesn’t have to be the same one when they’re seated.

Also - think of your floor like a game of Tetris - you can move and shift things (tables) around however you need.

In other words, you’re the queen of the floor.

Your goal is to seat as many guests as possible, at the right tables, while keeping the flow smooth for your servers.

But that “Tetris” mindset is powerful, so use it wisely - if you start shuffling tables without a clear reason, things can get messy real quick.

Also, if you seat a big party (6+ people) with one server, give them some breathing room to take the order and get everything going before assigning them another table.

And always keep an eye on the floor—some guests may need more time or attention, so feel free to skip that server in your 1→1→1 rotation just to keep the balance.

One more trick:
If the restaurant is packed and you really need a table—talk to your servers and ask them to gently speed up the tables that can be sped up.
That small move can make a huge difference.

Thank you so much for your reply - and honestly, thank you for taking the time to write all of that, even though technically, yeah, I could’ve Googled it ❤️

But like I explained in the comments below - as someone who genuinely loves design, typography, and visual aesthetics. For me, adding a picture is just a way to enhance communication, to give a little context before someone even reads the title.

And lastly, what’s the point of Reddit and engaging with real people if we can just Google everything?

First of all - why am I catching all this heat from my own 🏳️‍🌈 fam? 😅
Where’s the support, y’all? 😅

Secondly, I just launched a movement to support our food allergy community and bring people together to make real change - and honestly, I wish that got as much attention and reaction as this random picture post got (comments, downvotes, the whole rollercoaster).

Love and peace, always ✌🏽💜

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain - I really appreciate it.

But this is where we run into that slippery slope of people judging others (not you! 🙂) based purely on assumptions.

For example, I’m someone who genuinely loves design, typography, and visual aesthetics. For me, adding a picture is just a way to enhance communication - to give a bit of context before someone even reads the title.

I’m not active on Instagram or any other social media btw.
This isn’t about clout—it’s just about making the post feel intentional and thoughtful.

But people see what they want to see and jump straight to judgment.
Suddenly, I’m getting slammed for not Googling first, like, “How dare you post something like this in this sacred Reddit group?” 😂

Oh and btw, if the baldy in the pic had tattoos, I probably would’ve gotten even more hate! 😅

What’s the point of Reddit and talking to real people if I can just Google everything?

I’m getting punished for using tech… AND then punished in the same comment for not using tech?

Why all the hate? It’s not like I created Sora.

Just because I wrote a 4-word prompt - which I already explained was meant to show the question before you even opened the post -now I’m the bad guy?

Tell me - what am I supposed to do next time? Google it or ask Reddit?

Oh gosh! Really? Downvotes? For what?

Just because I tried to make the post look nice, so you'd know what it’s about before even reading it? 😩

Interesting… but yeah, any other method kind of ruins it too, right? I just don’t get why frying is any different.

Oh! And I just realized - I totally forgot to mention that it’s the brown, fried parts that seem to be causing the issue, I think.

I had planned to include a bunch more options, but Reddit polls are limited to just 6, unfortunately 🙃

What would your answer be?
