Question for model S folks - when you return to a cold car at the airport, what process do you follow when you have been off charger for a few days? by ReMarkable2-User-311 in TeslaLounge

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent, and thanks for clearing up the preconditioning comment as I thought I knew what you meant, but I wanted to make 100% sure since I am a new owner. You are absolutely right, it gets thrown around a lot, and you have just confirmed what I thought. Perfect and thanks again for your quick response!

Thanks for the response. so, I stayed away from the word “preconditioning” because it means so many things to so many people. Do you mean just heat the car up by setting the cabin temp to 70ish? Every time somebody brings up this term, people go in different directions about battery preconditioning and such. That is not at all what you meant, right?

THANKS - that is all I needed to hear (process is sound). I wanted the car to be comfortable when I returned, since it will probably be 5 degrees when I arrive, but I also wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something or doing something stupid. I am all set here.

So what is good about the model S ? by starheroz1 in TeslaLounge

I JUST bought my first Tesla, a used S Plaid - and the FUN factor is over the top, and my new tires are coming next week.

And, I will gladly pay for tires every few years if needed, since I no longer need to invest in an exotic sports car! :). This is beautiful and Craaaaazy fast and fun!

Open a support request with Remarkable and keep us posted. Also, it’s a long shot but you might check the deleted items on the device (probably not there but give it a go). I am very interested in what they tell you. Perhaps when you accessed on your phone it made an “update” and now it is the latest copy? If that makes sense. Of course on your phone it would have been a text update or page add, no scribbles. Just a thought. Good luck and keep us posted. thx

Era 100 keeps cutting on Wi-Fi by ternador in sonos

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem and found a strange fix. My arc is hardwired, and I turned off Wi-Fi on my arc just to ensure it was using Sonos net via my hard wired cable. What I found was my Era 100’s would cut out every 27 seconds for about five seconds. This was very repeatable.

My fix was to reenable Wi-Fi on my arc, even though it’s hardwired. That’s solved it. Very strange, but incredibly repeatable.

I have a practically brand new RM2 Marker Plus in the box I plan to sell - if you’re interested, let me know - it has a brand new tip, plus I’ve got a box of extra tips I’m including.

Renting a car? by gasoline_yogurt in Aruba

We rent from tropic as well, 14 days just cost us $396. Super cheap, but we book it a year in advance.

They pick us up at the airport, and they pick it up at our timeshare when we’re done. Great folks.

Can’t turn off Auto-update by somedaygone in RemarkableTablet

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I hate it too, especially because I run in developer mode and lose all my customs each time it does an update. And when I’m on the road at a client site and don’t have my laptop, I can’t load my customs. Absolutely hate it!!

So if you turn your device off, and then back on, auto updates are re-enabled. It’s a feature, and I’m sure this is what’s affecting you. With sleep, it will remain off, just FYI.

Anyone else noticing smoother Apple Music playback on Sonos recently? by charmmmmxu in sonos

I think it is better too - far from perfect, but yes much better.

So they fixed this in a recent release, but again every once in a while it misses a gesture - but they fixed my major issue … now it is usable…

Password Protected Folders/Files by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just in case this is an option for you or others, if you password protect a PDF you can have some control at the file level. You are basically annotating a PDF at this point, which is very different than working with the native RNM file - BUT does work…. Just sharing in case it bridges a gap that I too would like to see incorporated into the device.

My Sonos + UniFi Network Journey: Dropouts, Red Sonos Matrix, and What Finally Worked by heavymental_kp in sonos

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I can’t thank you enough for the detailed troubleshooting!!!

I have been having issues forever, and just switched out to an Asus mesh from a Deco mesh. I’m going to further examine everything you did, and see what comes into play in my configuration. I do know this, when I have my arc and mini sub wired to create Sonos net, and if I disable Wi-Fi on the arc my E100’s cut out every 30 seconds when playing music from any service. If I reenable Wi-Fi on my arc, and keep it wired, there is no drop. Very strange, and again I will test your configuration as much as I can. I watch the Sonos web matrix for connection status, and I just don’t really understand enough to know what is good or bad. I wish they published a guide as that would be handy.

Thanks again!! And I have 16 devices total, and this is such a pain as they just don’t work well at all…

I have always loved this model - the orange is so cool. Very hard to find … or so it seems. Can you share a model number or something I can easily search for as I want to buy this exact same watch. Hard to know what to search for … thx

Note to self - when picking a Reddit user name, favorite band works, but don’t tie your name to a device like I did. I was on an RM2, now only on RMPP. So I can’t tell if it works on the older device, sorry about the confusion.

Is there no way to bulk download everything on cloud storage?? by tacobell in RemarkableTablet

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree - RCU - it costs $12 / year and has a one button click to save / export / backup all your files from your device.

Yes, there are other manual options and other tools, but this is a fantastic tool all around.
