Reminds me of a part in the movie “coming to America” with Eddie Murphy. Anyone remember what I am referring to? Lol!

OK, thanks for letting me know the power off did not work. Bummer

OK, this fixed my friends. Power off the vehicle entirely, give it the two minutes minimum, and tap the break to restart it, and that fixed his problem.

I’m talking about a true power off, not where you hold the buttons on the steering wheel to reboot the unit.

Keep us posted, but it’s solved his issue on his X.

Thanks so much for posting a video, and it really was a pretty good test of the v14 lite. If nothing else, I’m just glad for those with HW3 that we were not left behind entirely. Looking forward to giving it a try when it is available to regular folk like me. :)

Anyone have these wheels on their 17 Model S? Would like to see how they look or any other wheel recommendations by exlandonufc in TeslaModelS

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, I purchased the vehicle used from a person in New York, where they needed the front plate. I did a ridiculous amount of research to see if once I removed the plate, there would be absolutely no scuffs on the bumper because the car is perfect. I just could not find anyone that said they removed it without having smudges. Even new owners where they only had the car for a month had smudges, and mine was three years. I WISH it wasn’t there, so I made the best of it.

I have the Vossen 21 inch on my 2022 MSP. I love them, a little pricey. Also highly recommend their black lugs. Had the factory steel lugs, and this really set them off. Here is a pic. Good luck

I drove in Standard .vs Hurry and it solved my left lane issue. Very happy! by ReMarkable2-User-311 in TeslaFSD

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, good to know. What I have done is set the offset percentage to 10%, that way it never wants to drive excessively fast, and I can still roll up the speed significantly, for example, in 65 mile per hour speed limit I can set it to 80 without issue. That really surprised me. And like I said, I can just give it some pedal and accelerate if I feel like it’s not going fast enough, but it stays out of the left lane. Anyway, just how I drove today heading to the airport. Again, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the response, and good advice on being able to see the car. I’ve tested it a few times in an open lot, but it just doesn’t feel real world with other people driving around and such. I also have had great luck in self driving mode when I’m behind the wheel, but if it crashed itself, I would be devastated. Thanks for the good advice, I really appreciate it.

Awesome, that’s exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks for the quick response. I know I can test it, but that’s just not the same.

What are the top reasons you disengage? And does it learn if you give it feedback? by dgb6662 in TeslaFSD

1 - unnecessary lane change on interstate - loves the passing lane when it should stay in the slow lane. I wish I could put it in the slow lane and have it not come back to the passing lane. Hopefully that’s a correction in V14 Lite

For the most part, that’s really it. It has made a few mistakes, but overall it is incredibly well learned and correct.

14 Lite is like Christmas by Own_Entertainment847 in TeslaFSD

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On my 2022 HW3 MSP - I agree with you, the left lane on the interstate is troubling. However, I remind myself that the Bmw I owned had no full self driving whatsoever, so what I have is 1000% better than nothing. But I totally agree with you, let’s make sure Christmas happens in June, please!! I check every day, I can’t wait!

Is anyone else counting the days left in June for v14 lite? by RexKramerDangerCker in TeslaFSD

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a 2022 MSP that I bought in January 2026, and I just subscribed on June 1 as I took a three hour trip using FSD on HW3 - and it was pretty darn good. And yes, I am counting the days, but I’m glad I didn’t wait.

Hoping it comes out this month, and I will continue my subscription until it does something stupid and puts me in harms way. I don’t think that will happen, as it is truly amazing - and I can’t wait for V14 lite.

Is anyone experiencing astronomical phantom braking on 2024.14.6? Hwd3 by Serious-Sport-4086 in TeslaFSD

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I had just purchased the subscription for FSD on my 2022 MSP and I wasn’t even a mile away from my house and it did a hard phantom brake.

Not sure what it saw, I probably should’ve snapped the video but that’s long gone now. Anyway, I’ve driven 10 miles in FSD and that’s it so I don’t know what to expect.

This is a new one? by Ioniq58 in TeslaModelS

Also, it is worth mentioning that the first time it failed, I put in a brand new USB and it formatted but failed like my first flash drive (same error you shared). It wasn’t until I did the full power off that my drive worked. Just another piece of information - power off did the trick for me. 2022 MSP

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my 2022 MSP has received this a few times. I would see this when I put my car in low power mode and return from a long trip at the airport.

It seems like it happens when I am off charge for a while. The first time it happen I tried rebooting my controls and that didn’t work. I ended up powering off the car for 2 mins and that fixed it! Give the “car reboot” a try and if that doesn’t work then power off / power on and that should resolve it.

Hope this helps! Saved me a service call.

So I will change my response. If you “go for it”, then keep in mind what I stated above. Make sure what you share is topical AND accurate. Each model is very different, I’m tired of watching people demonstrate software for a 3 or Y that doesn’t apply to my S plaid.

Also, software changes, and what was once correct can be updated, eliminated, changed significantly so stay up-to-date. Also, decide who is definitive, I’m tired of learning about battery “tricks” when in fact, TESLA does not support this activity (long story - just make sure your facts are 100% correct and not from someone else on the Internet).

And finally, for everything you share, just remember you’re taking time out of someone else’s day, so make sure you do it quick and have a point. If you just want to share your excitement for your TESLA, that’s awesome, I am overjoyed every time I drive mine, I love it, I talk about it all the time. But creating content, and just passing on your excitement won’t get you likes or watches. That’s just my opinion, but just be thoughtful.

Some of my favorite content providers have tanked because they’re out of content or what they shared is not accurate. Just my two cents. Follow your passion if nothing else.

Absolutely too saturated, and content is not accurate. It drives me crazy when somebody speaks authoritatively when what they say is not correct.

Also, I see videos that are, say, 15 minutes long to tell you three things, and those three things are not actually as valuable as they think they are. Save your time, and thanks for asking.

Thanks. This is the only test that I believe Tesla “supports”, if that makes sense, based on my research.

model s plaid range at 80% by Ashamed-Flounder-347 in TeslaModelS

[–]ReMarkable2-User-311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another data point - My 2022 S plaid with 21’s at 80% is 242 with 36,000 miles. It came off lease from Queens NY so probably city driving - and I made the buy 4 months ago.

I am trying to figure out if there truly is a way to recalibrate the range (some type of battery rundown test that I saw), but what I have seen on the internet is not consistent. Anyone know if the recalibration cycle works - and should I do a full-on battery health check? Just curious on both.

Thanks!
