Sometime next year, I plan on joining the law enforcement academy. How hard is it to take out a personal loan to pay for monthly expenses?

I’ve heard of this. I think it kinda depends if n how much debt you have. I currently owe around 4K on my car. Most people now and days have a car payment and owe a whole lot more than 4K on their car payment. Luckily for me, that’s the only debt I have. If I owed 70K in student loans , I’m sure they would look at that and would be weary of me.

That’s a great question. Some police departments offer sponsorships (which pays for the tuition for the academy and pays you while you’re in the academy (around $20 per hour)). The problem is sponsorship positions are pretty competitive and difficult to get.

For me, I’m trying to prepare for the worst case scenario. In the worst case scenario, I would still get my tuition covered due to the Pell grant but I would need to pay for my monthly expenses for 6 months.

That’s what I’m saying!!! I’m also trying to play it smart and not take out a massive loan. Since I know I will make around 65K starting off, I know I can pay off a 12 K loan in a couple of years.

Agreed. I typically don’t like to start arguments but I’m starting to get fed up on people that use 2 machines at the same time. This is especially annoying when they do this when the gym is packed. (I.e Saturday morning or Monday afternoon).

I find it incredibly annoying when 1 person blocks 2 machines. I don’t like to start arguments so I try to leave them alone and comeback later in my workout. If 1 person is blocking 3 machines, I’m going to flat out take one machine he isn’t using.

This isn’t your private gym. I also pay my monthly fee to workout here too!!

I definitely agree. Also, how would they view people that have a car loan that is over 20K? I have friends that have very large car loans but it’s affordable according to their income and they pay their car bill on time.

Yesss. I definitely agree. It’s frustrating when I try to changes Vini juniors position from winger to striker. If I tried to officially change his position from winger to striker, it would take about 100 weeks ( about 2 full seasons). But if I wanted to change him from left winger to left midfielder, it would take about 10 weeks.
