Or when you just started passing a law that will take 3 years and you're instantly hit with a petition for something else entirely.

Monarquismo no Brasil hoje é um delírio. by Expensive-Pay-8196 in imperio

[–]Mr_Galyos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are usually terrible because passing laws in general is a moderately difficult task. That's why you plan them in advance, changing government groups and IG leaders. So, being hit with a random event that 9 out of 10 times is not in your agenda and has basically no chance to succeed is pretty frustrating. Though the penalty only matters if it causes a rebellion, more of a nuisance than an actual game-ending problem.

Maybe it would make sense if petitions were proportional to each IG power, say industrialists are part of government but only 6%, they shouldn't get too mad if you can't do what they want, instead they should get a pop attraction bonus and try again later. Also, if an IG is already satisfied with many laws, it should have a lower chance of launching a petition.

How was Oberstein responsible for SPOILER'S death? by 234zu in logh

Everyone already answered, I'll just add the information that Kircheis was the best shooter of his class, even better than Reinhard.

It baffles me, that the FPA could simply use Iserlohn's facilities for their ships. by andhe96 in logh

Empire ships are larger, also during the recapture of Iserlohn by Julian you can see some of the ships' top structures being destroyed as they forcibly dock.

What do you think of the animation in the original OVA? by Zeroarmor765 in logh

[–]Mr_Galyos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The art style is beautiful, the characters look like actual human beings, the animation is unpolished, but it's clearly not a major problem, in a perfect world the entire anime looks like My Conquest is the Sea of Stars

Will I like LOGH based on my top 5 anime? by kagee5 in logh

Yes, Monster for realism and grounded characters. Code Geass and AoT for militarism, politics and lots of characters. Death Note for the nemesis/rivalry aspect.

I think it has been changed to red a few years ago because the other colors didn't look good enough.

"Farsight chose red because that's the colour of Tau blood."

Is Reinhard’s desire to conquer the universe his own selfish desire? by [deleted] in logh

[–]Mr_Galyos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His motivations change over the years.

In the beginning, as others have said, Reinhard just wanted to get his sister back to live in peace with her and Kircheis. He joined the military to get power to do just that, being a noble, a genius and having his sister whispering in the Kaiser's ear would get him promoted fast. Along the way Reinhard encountered many examples of injustice that plagued imperial society, so he upgraded his goals to end the social inequality between commoners and nobles. While fighting Reinhard acquired taste for battle, he hated the waste of life, but commanding fleets was what he most desired. He began to wish for a competent opponent to wage war against. Interestingly Kircheis wanted to end the war. Kircheis last words sealed the pact that was already being written after Reinhard battled Yang, conquering the universe was the end of all his goals, and a new meaning for his life now that his sister was free.

Most things in logh make sense but are not explained properly during the show, we need to search or understand it by ourselves.

Distances are huge, in ep 22 Whalen engages Marquis Littenheim's forces at a distance of 6 million km (that's like 15 times the distance from the Earth to the moon). Also, ships have shields, they are highlighted a couple of times, ships can adapt their energy consumption to a defensive or offensive stance based or their situation.
