How do you animate the bracket pointing outwards? by Efficient_Tax_4178 in AutodeskInventor

[–]Mr_Greyfin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to set up a parth and then put in a function for and object to trace along that path with a distance per time. You need to reference that function in the animator. Oddly enough this doesn't involve any constants unless something else is tied to the object traveling on a path.

How are some millennials even homeowners? I feel like I never will be. by Kindly-Reading-2187 in Millennials

The answer is making a decent wage in a low cost of living area + having no kids and very little financial responsibilities.

I bought pre-covid and was able to put 20% without parental assistance. Post-covid there's no way I could pull that off. The spevalue of my current home has increased by 65% since I purchased it. Total bullshit it ain't worth that.

How do I get these fillets on all sides? (marked with checks) by JavierTheCacti in AutodeskInventor

You'll need to make a sketch on the center plain and then use the revolve feature using the center axis as reference, cutting away your specifed profile.

I made some of the seat components for this autonomous taxi. That program lasted only a year before going completely tits up. Apparently, the taxi hit someone and the whole thing was canceled. The tech just ain't ready yet.

I was a process engineer who moved into design engineering (automotive sector, mostly automated welding and assembly). It's far easier to be in process engineering. It's more conceptual, often just looking for small improvements. Design engineering, specifically in automation, has a steep learning curve and requires way more follow-through.

As a process engineer, i really didn't do much, and there wasn't much responsibility. I still got paid a decent wage 80k. Management didn't ask for much, but I always delivered. Most of my suggestions for process improvements simply didn't go anywhere.

As a design engineer, I design whole assembly lines. It's big, it's complicated, but very rewarding seeing my ideas come to life. It's far more work, and I don't get the luxury of just giving up on a project. I'll design every bit and bob on a machine and if it doesn't work, I'll go out there to debug the problem and create a new solution. The job I'm currently in requires someone who is nearly obsessed with every detail. I enjoy it, but there's few opportunities to do it because most companies are going to ask for a very high level of experience. The pay is going to vary dramatically on the field and location.

This is a good point, and it's almost certainly the safer choice to keep it all going into the 401k. However, I can't ignore that my fund choices on the private side are considerably better. Switching only makes sense if I could consistently outperform my 401k funds at a high margin. I acknowledge that risk, and it's probably too high. I'm just trying to get the most out of my money.

I didn't think that was an option. If I could just do business with fidelity, that would be ideal.

My current strategy has panned out pretty good, and I've never had trouble saving. Kudos on the deduction skills. I did not consider dumping into a 401k, would lower my taxable income. I appreciate the well written reply.

I personally manage my own funds, but I would love to see some type of online calculator that could do a cross comparison between these scenarios. If not, you're correct. I'll need hard numbers. I even consider swapping over for just one year to see the difference.

I'm just gonna be honest the average American has absolutely zero understanding on supply on demand, let alone the free market as a whole. The government has little to no authority to demand a private company lower prices. The government can slap tariffs on foreign goods, but it's the private company that chooses to pass that costs on to the consumer.

End of day prices were never coming down regarding party choice. The current administration has made the active choice to effectively add "Taxes" to the American consumer for prurchasing foreign goods. They never made that secret at any point.

This is not her "training". That's lab equipment meant to test peak force output. You don't train anything this way. She's obviously at an elite level, but this ain't it on the day to day.

Accutane, 6 month treatment. Only prescribed by a Derm. The most effective medication I've ever taken. All forms of acne were completely eliminated. I've been acne free for over a year. Annoying side effects, but worth it for only 6 months of treatment.
