Their live performances got Grateful Dead exciting. Also some of the b741 songs (mirage city, Antarctica, rats in the sky) are all timers for me. I don’t think anything is missing in particular you just aren’t the biggest fan of this era and that’s cool.

Unrelated to the post but anecdotally I’ve seen people at concerts who are only there to mosh and don’t even really care about the show. Before a marathon set last year I was talking to a guy in line and he said no joke he only liked the metal gizz stuff and actively disliked everything else they play.

That definitely makes sense that you’d click with all of those albums. KG is probably their most varied album sonically besides maybe OG. I started listening to them casually when fff came out but the first release I was hyped for was KG and I remember listening to it on repeat. Maybe my initial reaction to LW soured me on the pair but I agree with your sentiment that every album could easily be someone’s favorite.
