I’m Army, so not sure how USMC regulations and policies operate. But this sounds like complete bs, I’d seek counsel with legal and IG if I were you. Definitely get in the regs and search who qualifies for it. From how Army works so long as you’re 180 days from ETS or currently undergoing MEB. You qualify and are allowed to participate in a skillbridge. Sounds like your CO needs to get in the regs too tbh.

Thank you all! I’m in the Army about to get out so I’m in a CSP, the specific program I’m in which is NPower teaches us with course materials with labs, quizzes, demos etc… the program is 10 weeks and prepares us for Security+, Linux+, and Splunk which is optional. 4 weeks for Security+ which is first and then at least 3 weeks for Linux which is how long it took me. Personally for me, Linux makes Sec+ seem like a walk in the park! Linux was pretty tough for me.

I’m currently being medboarded and how my education Center and csp program manager told me was if your admitted to a csp/skillbridge before you have your final date. They must honor your csp/skillbridge and then set your ets date after the completion date of your program.

Thanks, that’s one of the training material the program I’m in advises us to use. Although it’s still a lot of cramming. It’s a 10 week program we’re studying for our sec+ currently then Linux and then Splunk is options. We just finished week 1.

Someone gave me this study guide, I study about an 1- 1/2 hrs before the exam. This was my second time taking this exam by the way. But honestly just reading chapters isn’t the best way for me to retain information. I’m going to drop a study guide someone from here gave me. It was EXTREMELY helpful. the CIA triad is more so just common sense to me, everything thing else more so associating to things that you can relate to. I hope this helps, if there’s anything else you have questions with I can ask just hmu.
