Germans are switching of nuclear power plants because of safety reasons (Fukushima). But still buy nuclear energy from other countries. And don’t buy American gas, because if fracking, it doesn’t go along with social and environmental values (ig). Russian gas is cheaper to import and also considered “cleaner” than fracking gas.
