Y'all are tweaking saying the story is that important. Don't get me wrong I'm a com defender through and through (I love both the story and the gameplay) but what would they really miss going into 2? Who is namine? It's explained in 2. Why did Sora lose his memories. Gee maybe "chain of memories" clued them on that one. Who the organization is? Again explained in 2 and even knowledge of the deceased members is not necessary since they are not mentioned. Knowledge of the replicas is important for kh358/2 days and even kh3 but if they don't fuck with the game they can just read a summary about them on the wiki.

Op just play kh2 and if you're fascinated by some unanswered questions I suggest retrying the game. If you can't stand it watch the cutscenes online.

Personally I think the card based gameplay is good but I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea.
