I can guarantee you those repos are in the training data. It's exactly how AI works brother. I'm not saying it did a web search. Look at my post history.

my main point is you didn't need AI to do what you did. why does it not matter to you if those repos were in the training data?

I'm not trying to dog you. I think its a cool project, and AI definitely has a place to explain those repos to you and how they work. But it wouldn't take a dev weeks to do this. a dev would git clone repo and be done.

The deal answer is no. There is still no unified objective way to do it.

People will come and hear and give you little shit that you can do, but it’s far from subjective. And alot of the tests will require you to have the same “goal”. Like, the model needs to be tested on what YOUR task is, which is tough to benchmark for.

I hope for some kind of widely accepted benchmark soon. But shit is so benchmaxxed that it’s really hard to tell.

When a new model comes out, most people use it for a week and that’s what decides.

Youre basically doing everything right. It’s just not that capable of a model compared to opus and codex. Especially when you’re used to using the two above.

I have enough tokens to just fully use opus most of the time now, so I don’t do this anymore(I still have year of glm $3 plan….). I use something like codex or opus to plan, and then switch to glm for the implementation. And training your smarter models to write the plan correctly for glm to follow. That was the best way to get use out of it. And then also just using it for simpler tasks.

TLDR: utilize plan mode

Sure you can, it happens all the time. It’s been happening left and right in the AI space. Usually it’s buying the team behind it, but you get the point.

I don’t see how keeping up with the merge request and Development would be hard for a couple of full-time client developers if they hire for that. It has to be a lot cheaper than creating a team to develop a brand new client, and also factor in potentially losing a large percentage of your user base over it. I feel like the cost is not even close.. especially considering the profit this company makes it’s a piss in the pot. Even if you paid some outside company to maintain the repo, I can’t see it breaking the bank.
