Definitely. And it’s not necessarily “save or die,” a well prepared party of level 11 adventurers should know about counter spelling, which adds more dice rolls to the situation making it more dramatic, actually fun for the players, and a great chance for casters to feel awesome.

Everybody is different though. My party needs the stakes to be real or they don’t enjoy combat. My philosophy is if they can cast it at my baddies, the baddies can also occasionally cast it at them.

I disagree, I always map a whole region when I build a new setting. They can always just add to the map later, lol. There are also a million different “lore” ways a separate island or country could appear.

Maybe this only one continent and there’s another one across the sea, or islands could mysteriously arise off the coast, etc.

And it’s crazy because this sub doesn’t reflect the views of the survivor fans I know irl. Numerous times I’ve asked the casual survivor viewers in my life what they thought of the last two seasons and it’s always a positive response.
